This weekend, the world goes ballistic after North Korea launches a missile, and a trio of fatal shootings horrifies the country. On the much, much lighter side, quarterback Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bündchen re-tie the knot. These are just a few of the stories that Buzz users found the most compelling...

    North Korea Missile
North Korea is not exactly the buzziest country in the world, but this weekend it managed to create quite a stir by launching a rocket that many believe is a long-range missile test. North Korea claims it only sent a satellite transmitting "revolutionary songs" into space. The Pentagon says whatever it was, it landed harmlessly in the Pacific Ocean. Nevertheless, President Obama and other world leaders condemned the act as a provocation. The Buzz was full of news on the event, including a chronology of North Korea's missile program,a poll on the use of a military approach to eliminating the country's nuclear capabilities, and a survey of its missile arsenal.

    A horrific weekendand month
Much as one wanted to, you couldn't escape news this weekend about a trio of slayings. On Friday a man shot and killed 13 people at an immigrant center in Binghamton, N.Y. On Saturday a gunman in Pittsburgh wearing a bulletproof vest shot and killed three police officers responding to a domestic disturbance. And the bodies of five children were found in a Washington state mobile home, shot by their father, James Harrison, who had just been told by his wife that she was leaving him. In the past month a string of shootings has taken 53 lives in the U.S. Yahoo! News provides ongoing coverage.

Super Bowl QB + Super Model  = Super Buzz
What do you get when one of the all-time great quarterbacks marries the world's highest-paid model? A veritable cornucopia of buzz, that's what. When People magazine reported Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen had secretly tied the knot on Feb. 26, the clicks came fast. And when word broke that the couple had gone and re-nuptialed themselves at a Costa Rican resort on Saturday, the clicks came furious. But wait, there's more! A photo agency said two photographers narrowly escaped being killed when Gisele's security team fired bullets at their car. And a friend of Brady's ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan dished to the New York Post about some comments Giselle had made in a Vanity Fair interview about Tom and Bridget's child. And if you can follow all that — gossip hound, we salute you.

    Also buzzing this weekend ...

you know what I don't like. is how the media knows that the oakland police officers slayings got a lot of attention ( which means ratings) and then they find similar stories to capitalize on. like the cops being killed in Pitts. they don't have any shame

yeah...sure...the world goes ballistic when North Korea does the first missile launching test. But it's ok when we do it. We have tones of those missiles and we have done the test just only about a thousand times in the past( and still do). That's all. It's no big deal. We can do it but it's soooo compelling, so much worries when the others do the same...oh! the aggonies...

Bridget Moynahan is NOT Tom Brady's ex-WIFE!!!! She is his ex- GIRLFRIEND!!!! One whom is reporting "so called" news should probobly know the facts before one acutally writes the article!!! I'm just saying,,,,,,,,,

ITS REAL SIMPLE LET ME BE PRESIDENT FOR TWO MONTHS THE CRIME RATE WILL DROP AND COUNTRIES LIKE NORTH KOREA WILL RESPECT THE POWER OF THE UNITED STATES WHEN JAPAN SURENDERED TO A UNCONDITIONAL TREATY THE PLAN AT THE TIME WAS TO DROP A ATOM BOMB ONCE A MONTH UNTIL THEY DID. PROBLEM SOLVED !!!!!!!!!!!!! NOW THE CRIME RATE IN THE US IS UP BECAUSE OF THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM. INSTEAD OF HAVEING A REVOLVEING DOOR AT THE PRISON SYSTEM HAVE IT AT THE COURT HOUSE A GOOD NYLON ROPE CAN BE BOUGHT AT THE LOCAL WAL MART FOR ABOUT $2.00 WHEN PEOPLE START TO RELIZE THAT WE AS AMERICANS ARE TIRED OF THE B.S. I PROMISE PEOPLE WILL PAY ATTENTION AND LEARN HOW TO BE HAVE.

Thank you NRA for a busy news week full of cold blooded
murders. We couldn't have done it without all the easily
available cheap handguns you love so much.

hey bob, its the people who kill not the weapon. you havent figured this out yet. if you happen to have a pistol, which im sure you dont because you are one of those bleeding heart liberals, take it out load it and put it to your head and see if it pulls its own trigger. if it doesnt maybe you should think about doing it then you wouldnt have to worry about the rest of your life.

Keep drinking the Kool-Aid, Bob.

New York has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country. Too bad some law-abiding citizens (ie NRA members) weren't around to stop THAT gunman.

The one in Pissburg used a rifle. Can you read? Naw, didn't think so.

And as far Washington goes, we don't allow trailer park trash with prior records in the NRA.

I heard these news right after each other like dominoes. It made me very sad and angry at the killers as to why they took other people's lives. They're all similar cases. The killers will all get what is coming for them. May the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in peace. Amen.

I'd like to see a deranged nut case kill 14 people in a building
with a knife or a baseball bat.
Try to keep in touch with reality. I know it's hard for you NRA
types but at least give it try.

I find it kind of odd and disheartening how whenever someone mentions the very thought of resolving an issue through negotiation or non aggressive methods the only rebuttal I seem to hear from many conservatives is an angry or hateful reply about "Liberal" thinking. Christopher, you, as well as many other Americans, seem to have conveniently forgot that when Bush ordered troops into Iraq under the pretense of Weapons of Mass Destruction none were ever found. Now Liberal or Conservative we all share the same country. Why aren't we putting these stupid petty labels and differences aside for one solitary moment and address the issues we face as a "UNITED" country and stop attacking one anothers views....Oops that must be me and my Liberal Thinking again;)

This is so much bad. North Korea would just wanted their missile to reach alaska base to terrorize US military based in alaska if there is in there. That's just what I'm thinking that it could be a posible motive.

Americans are a sick nation. No other country in the world (not counting the ones at war of course) has such rates of random and intentional shootings in public places and slaughter of families and friends. Something's Apparently wrong with them They don't see their neighbors in trouble, they don't care about anything except Their own little world & Their 'american dream'; and the most horrible thing is that so Many of them claim to be godly christians. Very god-fearing nation, indeed... Sad.

Americans are delusional. Once things get a little bit bad they are go nutty. Lets go shoot people because we created these problems for ourselves. America needs to grow a pair. We don't live in candyland.

Terrorists are all over the world. And we have got some here in our own hometowns. Look around you people. Lies are entertianment. The media makes money off of violence, sex, terrorism...etc. It's disgusting. But guess what? They will never go bankrupt because as long as they are pushing out stories about how many people died people will be entertained and think that people have it just as bad as them.

Look... 1st give Pres. Obama time to try and fix the B.S. he has agreed to try and fix for us. 2nd Korea doing what they did deserves PREPARATION, not counter measures. 3rd just because I can own a gun doesn't mean I'm gonna wipe out a family because of my immediate circumstances or feelings. It was the nut holding the gun that took away those people on all accounts. 4th Snappy, though I think u are a bit too harsh with ur methods and , personally, a rope doesn't sit well with me because this country already got carried away with them and my race a while back, I do agree that ass needs to be checked around the country. But I wouldn't vote 4 u lol.

Randy r, you are an idiot. You're sooo convinced Obama is black. I guess you didn't hear about his white blood. Man you have a problem. Stuck on the black thing like most blacks that keeps racism alive and thriving. Except you show a pic of a white person. In disguise??
But then again, Obama NEVER did produce a b-certificate now did he?

And one more thing. I'm a black man and I could care less if Obama was pink. He wasn't elected because of skin color because there are nowhere near enough Black people in America to do it, hence the term minority. If he screws up we should condemn his ass like we did any others before him. Simply put I dont have a black, white, or mexican president. I just have a president. And I hope he fixes things.

I looked around and found a story where NORAD says the rocket didnt make it into space at all but fell into the ocean on the other side of Japan. I guess if the idiots keep snubbing their noses at the world and doing whatever pleases them, they'll get it right one day. And for those of you who don't know, Alaska is our FIRST line of defense. Not D.C. And one more thing. In case the korean idiots do manage to get the nuke technology, they don't have to use it, that pervert would be happy to sell it to a terrorist cell. Can you think of any that can afford those? Wake up america or their won't be a america here for you to spout off about all the dumb s*** you spout off about. Those of you who don't know your ass from your elbow. Been a lot of people die just so you can get on your computer and say anything you want to say without any repurcussions. Try that in another country. If you don't like america, get the hell out. The borders are wide open.

i wanna know what the heck tony romo getting married has to do with anything and how is that supposed to outshine missile launching and gunshots. tony romo could marry a man and i could give 2 s####. that just shows how the media uses stupid mainstream to blind you of whats really going on. Oh and hey obama attack those no kos they're testing missiles out in our direction how dare they. We have no intention of sending a missile into no ko unless provoked. guess what they provoked us and obama has his thumb in his rear just like i knew he would no ko testing a missile back when they did it last time compared to a couple days ago is a whole different story there is too much stuff brewing to be testing missiles in the direction of my homeland and most of your homelands its real.

These issues don't have anything in common except that they happened this weekend. If the concern over N. Korea was so high then someone should have shot that thing down or retaliated against them instead of letting it go into the pacific. It should've not gotten that far.
