Television is called lots of things. Inspirational isn't one of them. However, when it comes to Halloween costumes, the small screen stimulates searchers in a special way.
Fans of the boob tube want to emulate their favorite characters from shows past and present. Whether taming the massive mullet of Dog the Bounty Hunter or trying on the hot pants of Lt. Dangle from "Reno 911," there are plenty of ideas ripe for ripoff.
We looked at searches from the past week and found the Disney Channel's tween demo is responsible for the top three TV-related costume ideas. Here's how the rest of the top 20 stacks up...

—For a show that hasn't aired in prime-time for over 40 years, "The Flintstones" still possesses a certain caveman charm. Three of our top 20 queries are Bedrock-related.
—Fred and Wilma aren't the only '60s TV icons to crack our list. Nostalgia contributed to the strong showing from "The Addams Family" and "I Dream of Jeannie."
