As if the greasy burgers weren't reward enough, McDonald's is offering customers a chance to win fabulous prizes and somewhat edible food during its annual Monopoly-themed give-away. Hooray!
The Monopoly game pieces are about as hard to find as overweight Americans, but that hasn't stopped hungry heifers from searching for ways to acquire them online. Queries on "free monopoly pieces" and "mcdonald's monopoly codes" have exploded over the past week. More discriminating searchers are pushing queries on "rare mcdonalds monopoly pieces" and "find rare 2007 monopoly codes" up the food chain.
Ol' Ronald must be pleased his promotion is attracting such a following. Although it is telling that many would-be customers would rather search for free game pieces than buy the food they come with.
