    In the NFL, the standings only matter at the end of the season. Until then, it's all about the power. The power rankings, that is. Ranking the teams 1 through 32 after each game isn't a new concept, but it's been gaining steam in Buzz over the past several seasons. Football fans are searching for expert opinion on relative gridiron power.

    Queries on "nfl power rankings" are up 63% over the past week and related lookups on "2007 nfl team power rankings," "2007 nfl power rankings," and "nfl power ranking" all sacked Search. We're also seeing increased interest in opinions of the major media outlets—spikes on "espn nfl power rankings," "si nfl power rankings," and, of course, "yahoo nfl power rankings."
