In Congress, Ron Paul may be known as "Dr. No," but on the Web, the Republican presidential candidate has been nothing but Mr. Yes. In loud and uncertain terms, his campaign has said yes to vociferous message board comments, yes to online polls, and a big hearty yes to Search.
Since early May, Buzz has logged spikes in searches such as "ron paul for president," "ron paul 2008," "ron paul debate," and "ron paul poll." Sure, all the candidates are cozying up to the bloggy, YouTube-y prowess (and peril) of the Web and drawing buzz. But the representative from Texas, who lags behind the others in national polling group surveys, has outpaced them all in mobilizing fans online and driving buzz skyward.
With the Libertarian politician's staff reportedly doubling in size and his statements remaining as provocative (and buzz-inducing) as ever, things are likely to get even more shaken and stirred. Stay tuned to see what Dr. No does next.
