The Return of the Recall

There's been a large amount of attention on product recalls lately, and understandably so. When a well-known product is pulled from the shelves it can cause concern for consumers everywhere. With the buzz still strong on recalled pet food (+50%), we saw new surges inspired by a Listerine recall (1,435%), as well as a recall of a half-million Ford Escapes.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, there were over 30 different consumer product recalls last month, and the Food and Drug Administration's web page of recent recalls is a pretty lengthy read.
Thanks to the Internet, plenty of recall warnings and alerts are available. Concerned consumers can keep a watchful eye and, hopefully, not panic when word of new recalls sweeps the nation. To help a little in that effort, have a look at the top 20 recall queries in Search....
