Well, we've seen a few hundred searches on the day's history, along with a few clueless queries for "what is cinco de mayo." But overwhelmingly, people looking for the party outnumber those researching the origins of the holiday.

    Searches on Cinco de Mayo jumped 209% over the last week, with queries for celebrations, food, and crafts leading the way. In the food category, queries on "mexican recipes" (+23%) and "mexican food" (+28%) top the Search menu. What foods are sizzlin' this year? Munch on these mouthwatering goodies...

    Finally, if you're looking to celebrate with the margarita-fueled masses, Las Vegas, San Jose, San Francisco, and Los Angeles are the places to be, according to buzz.
