When we last checked on the Academy Award nominees, the nominations had just been announced. Fans scrambled online for information about their favorite flicks and the newly nominated. Since then, the Oscar hype hasn't died down, but we have noticed a few changes in how the candidates rank in searches.

Do the changes in Buzz indicate possible award flucatations? We can't say for sure, but we can tell you who'd win if our searches counted toward Oscar's ballot...

    Best Picture:
    1. The Departed
    2. Babel
    3. Little Miss Sunshine
    4. Letters From Iwo Jima
    5. The Queen

"The Departed" moved from the #3 slot to the top spot thanks to its impending release on DVD. The top three movies are clustered pretty tight, with the bottom two well in back of the pack

    Best Actor:
    1. Will Smith
    2. Leonardo DiCaprio
    3. Ryan Gosling
    4. Forest Whitaker
    5. Peter O'Toole

Smith is happy to note he's vaulted past DiCaprio since we last checked. Oscar fave Whitaker lags the pack in fourth place.

    Best Actress:
    1. Kate Winslet
    2. Penelope Cruz
    3. Meryl Streep
    4. Helen Mirren
    5. Judi Dench

Yet another flip-flop at the top. Winslet switched places with Cruz with the bottom three lagging far behind in Buzz. Like Whitaker, presumptive favorite Mirren resides in fourth place.

    Best Supporting Actor:
    1. Eddie Murphy
    2. Mark Wahlberg
    3. Jackie Earle Haley
    4. Alan Arkin
    5. Djimon Hounsou

Murphy's "Norbit" has kept his name hopping in Search. Wahlberg nips closely at his heels and the other three contenders fall far behind.

    Best Supporting Actress:
    1. Jennifer Hudson
    2. Abigail Breslin
    3. Cate Blanchett
    4. Rinko Kikuchi
    5. Adriana Barraza

Hudson holds down the top spot, but a late surge from young Breslin puts her in second place. However, nothing compares to the Buzz surrounding the divine Ms. Hudson.
