Dear Editor: I am a woman of a certain age. Some of my friends say that there aren't good holiday movies anymore. Other friends say your Buzz lists are make-believe. Please give me the truth: Has Hollywood reduced holiday-themed fare to slasher remakes like "Black Christmas"?

Ah, ye woman of little faith. First, you should never be afraid to admit your years. Second, the popularity of cheapie horror flicks aside, your friends are wrong. Television is a bit formulaic, but it has never wavered from giving us the reasons for the season. And in this Digital Age, the Timeless Holiday Movie exists as certainly as love and DVDs exist.

And do we have a list for you! Witness the passion for "The Nativity," with an astounding 29,207% spike in searches over the past month. And oh, the fervor of Buzz for that sentimental favorite, "A Christmas Story," with wondrous searches for "christmas story leg lamp" and "christmas story house." No good movies?! No dear friend, they exist, and they will live forever, to spread cheer to the hearts of revelers everywhere...
