Searching for the CIA
by Gordon HurdNov 27, 2006
We're not your average conspiracy theorists. We see the dark lining in every silver cloud. A recent surge on secret society searches has us looking over our shoulders. There's been heightened activity for "The Good Shepherd," an upcoming Matt Damon vehicle, plus some shadowy searches on Central Intelligence Agency. We just know there's a connection.
Our initial alarms went off when searches for "cia" jumped 884% this weekend. Folks looking for the agency's web site also pushed "cia.gov" up 328%. Our sources tell us new recruitment efforts from the CIA had people taking a second look at careers gathering secrets and ensuring the nation's security. But Damon's new movie—about the birth of the spy agency—may be ramping up interest as well. "The Good Shepherd" is working on solid leads in the Buzz, climbing 94% over the weekend.
