If each year, one song rises above all others to claim the title of summer anthem, then this year's champ is "Chicken Noodle Soup." And if this unstoppable song of these blistering summer months takes its inspiration from something as mundane as a bowl of grandma's feel-better broth—well, all the better.
Buzz on the delicious mix by DJ Webstar and Young B, and its accompanying, hip-swaggering jig, continues to shimmy in Search. Today, searches on the song spiked 158% and into our top 300 movers. Tune-happy girls (and it is primarily girls) have also pushed searches for the DJs, the song's lyrics, its dance, and its dance video high up the Buzz charts.
And though this tune is all about 114th and Lex, don't think it's just a New York thing. Norfolk, Tallahassee, Greensboro, and Charlottesville round out the list of top metros seeking more on the curative song/dance combo. It seems chicken noodle soup is just what the doctor ordered.
