The Bush administration should be held responsible for the laws they broke while in office. That's not a distraction from anything -- it's an important step in protecting our democracy and defending our constitution. Even if Cheney thought he was breaking U.S. law to "protect" the country, his actions and decision have to be investigated by the proper channels. Separation of powers is a cornerstone of our form of government.
