The $17,500 videogame

Think $60 video games are too expensive? You won't hear any argument from us, but you might from JJ Hendricks, a collector who just paid a clinically insane $17,500 for an obscure NES game from 1990. » Full Story on Yahoo! Games Plugged In

As much as some would like to complain, he has the right in our FREE society to spend the money he earns in any way he sees fit.

For those who feel he should help people, how do you know he doesn't? Maybe the person who he got this from is doing something worthy with the Money.

Judge not, that ye be judged!

Wow I love video games too but I seriously would be concerned if I bought a game for over 150$ let alone 17.5k.

Here we are, in the midst of an economical recession, and one person has the gumption to to spend 17K on a 6 min game. You've GOT to be joking.

I can somehow see the value of the game given the rarity of having Mario Bros, Tetris, etc., in one game, but there are a whole lot of things I can think about spending my money on than that.

Dear God. You don't think a food bank or a shelter or something couldn't have done a heck of a lot more? This is sheer selfish greed. Disgusting.

did he give matching funds for the homeless and hungry neither we should have in the US? I mean 17.5 could feed and shelter ALOT of people and they would be far more benefitted than a game..

nice job using Wikipedia as a source... try doing some research on a topic the old fashioned way (primary sources, maybe?) or hire bloggers that are actually familiar with the topic they blog about...
