Submitted: Jul 8, 2008 - Arizona Diamondbacks' pitcher Edgar Gonzalez, currently on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained right elbow, has decided against surgery, manager Bob Melvin said on Tuesday. The right-hander had an MRI and doctors recommended that he not have surgery. "It's going to be four, six weeks before he's going to be able to play catch again," Melvin said.
