Cal RB Best won't play vs. Washington (AP)

California star tailback Jahvid Best has been ruled out of this week's game against Washington as he recovers from a frightening fall and concussion that sidelined him last month. Coach Jeff Tedford said Tuesday that Best is doing well in his recovery but there has been no talk about when he might return to the field. » Full Story on Yahoo! Sports

Hopefully he's ok. It's not like he could graduate and get a job. Not with a first name like "Jahvid" anyway. Well, I'll rethink that. Some no talent black guy named Barack got a job, so it is possible.

most people feel all sports should be banned. very dangerous
to your health. cigarettes are just about banned, dangerous
to your health. narcotics are banned, dangerous to your health.
and definitely liquor, beer, wine has to go, very dangerous
to your health and to other drivers. has to be banned. someone
may misuse it. so think of all the danger, dementia and debauchery
there is that must be banned. mr. waxman save us all from
the big bad wolves. the big bad pig will save you. thank you.
safety, sanity and sobriety. unleash the cadres now. who needs
to be taken captive next? time for the irs raids on the gambling
houses and brothels, to save them from themselves. go big bad pig.

The problem with these athletes is that they like to showboat. Score a T.D. do a flip, bump chests, hit helmets, etc. They all need to grow up and just play.Does the college athlete think by doing these stupid stunts the NFL will take notice? They might but you will be watching all the pro games from home or worse a hospital room. Just play the game the right way and forget the theatrics.

Was a nasty crash to the turf.......and he could have been hurt much worse than he was..........I attribute that to the fact that players werent just "kneeling and huddling in support"..........they were kneeling and huddling praying for the well being of their fellow player. As many around the country prayed for his safety as i did. Jahvid most likely came out of it with only a concussion because christians prayed and God answered. Thank you Lord and get well Jahvid!!
