WHO: No licensed swine flu vaccine til end of year (AP)

It's all quite fascinating from a public health point of view, of course, especially since the U.S. government already announced the swine flu was "mild" and that it only really attacked those with healthy immune systems, not weak immune systems. So why is the first wave of vaccines now targeting the very children and adults who are least likely to be impacted by swine flu infections in the first place?

The answer, of course, is that swine flu vaccines have nothing to do with public health and everything to do with generating billions of dollars in profits for Big Pharma. For the drug companies to rake in all this money manufacturing vaccines, they obviously have to give the shots to somebody -- just to create the illusion that something productive might be going on in order to justify the government expenditures. It's a lot like war budgets: You gotta drop bombs on somebody in order to justify making new ones.

The longer I live, the less I trust "modern medical science". The (so called) U.S. health care system is 100% profit motivated. As such, disease is a real money maker! There is simply no profit in keeping people healthy. Indeed a healthy patient, is no patient at all, and they know it. Make no mistake, keeping the population sick or in deathly fear of becoming terminally ill is the core of their livelihood.

The WHO is a mindless bunch or meaningless people. This is a scam, another way for the government to mandate shots for our childrem. Another control play.

This seems to be a fairly mild flu that was blown way out of protion by massive over-sensational reporting by the Obama media to gin up support for his fraud health care plan.

Questions: This is going to be engineered so you have to get three separate vaccinations? Is it true that there will be a sentence of 10 years in prison if you don't get this "vaccine"? Can the government now come into your home and force you to take it? All children will be getting it at school? Will there be a more virulent form of this flu out there by December?

I tell you one thing i know...people are sick and tired of the federal government and IF the government is idiotic enough to mandate this, it will start a full scale Revolution.

I won't be taking that vaccine. The last time a scare and they created vaccine quickly, more died from the vaccine than from the illness. That was in the Gerald Ford Presidency.

I'm gonna go with the probably majority and take my chances with the actual illness.
Many have it, few have actually died from it.
The last time this happened more people died from the vaccine. Just no.
This is one of those "history repeats itself" cases.

I think they wont have one until the end of the year because we don't really need one right now. The swine flu as it is can be very contagious but not often deadly, but if it mutates and becomes deadly any vaccine made might not be effective since it mutated your body still might not recognize or be ready to fight it. So I guess we wont see a real vaccine for it until a little after it becomes bad, if it does...just my high theory...hehe

Can they be serious??? They will risk millions of lives in order to verify the safety of this vaccine? This is such BULL$*T! Instead of spending billions on this vaccine, why don't they study why perfectly healthy people seem to be more likely targets than those with weakened immunity, which is typical for other viruses? Study their lifestyle, their environment, their medical history, etc and find the link? Just mass producing something and hoping it will work is USELESS, A WASTE OF TIME, MONEY and could potentially put millions at risk. They are rushing this so that drugmakers will not suffer from the patent expiries coming into effect over the next 2-5 years which will cost them biliions and billions in sales. The drugmakers are trying to ensure their long-term survival, even if it means jeopardizing OUR survival...

Anyone who takes any vaccine offered by the WHO has lost their freaking mind. Wake up people it is all about control. MONSANTO is genetically modifying corn that acts as birth control. They are patenting CORN! They will control the population of the earth in one fell swoop and no one is raising hell about it. The puzzle pieces all fit together...wake up.

I had flu like symptoms last week, but not too bad, don't know if it was swine flu or not but it wasn't anything major. I remember the Gerald Ford thing. Put me off flu shots for decades. Don't know if I picked up immunities at that point but I don't intend to take a shot that hasn't been proven safe.

I have a very safe method for vaccination , especially those who doubt its benefits and safety: let us not do it and say we did.

also, I invented a more safe method: my secret is using sterile saline solution injection; this method has 100% safety, no complications , no fever. etc. thank you WHO for protecting our health and your money

No worries. Still dealing with mad cow and bird flue.. Can only handle one animal at a time...

You people do not realize that people and specially children died by the thousands and millions before vaccines were invented. Even those who survived smallpox were hideously marked. Imagine the fine royal blood ladies with pockmarked faces, etc.
Also, this was why couples had dozens of children, because only a few survived to adulthood.
Sure there have been reactions with some vaccines, but I am not sold on the idea that they caused autism. My child got autism without getting those measles triple vaccine that they all blame.
Also imagine life without the polio vaccine. You can't even go to the YMCA when there was a suspected outbreak.
Now, some vaccines that we commonly use have adjuvants in them and if they have been used for a long time without bad efects to the population, manufacturers can just use those adjuvants for the flu vaccines.
We got to hit a balance folks.

Flu shots are at best 70% effective.
Here's hoping everyone who can will go out and get an ordinary flu shot so we will have a slow non H1N1 virus season thus keeping the emergency rooms clear of most of the panic striken.

GET A FLU SHOT ANYWAYS - THEN IF YOU GET THE FLU WORRY.
If everyone would go tet a regular flu shot then only those who get the flu would need to worry much about the nastier version.
Yes the flu shot is only about 70% effective in a good year but if you don't get the flu then you don't have to worry about H1N1 and clog up the emergency rooms with the worried well.
If you get a nasty version of the flu you will at least have some flu fighting anti bodies.
LETS ALL TRY TO GET ALL OF OUR RELATIVES, FRIENDS AND COWORKERS VACCINATED, EVEN IF NOT WITH THE SWINE FLU VACCINE, SO WE CAN ALL REST EASIER.

Be very very careful on what BIG BROTHER says and wants to do, they might end up using the wrong syringes and inject them lil rice sized implants in our arms.
