Don't do it Obama.... employers don't really care about 2 year degrees.... and 4 years schools hate to transfer coursework and accept two year school credits. but very few schools will tell you this when you are enrolling....
not to mention.... if you have too many credits from a two year school, it may prohibit one from receiving financial aid if you decide to transfer to a 4 year school.
Most two year schools are a waste of resources..... better to send the money to the 4 year cash strapped universities instead.... money better spent.

Snowman are you consciously looking at facts and figures or following the lead of others? Have you read the GAO's report on the economy and what's occurring with the GDP? What facts are you exploring? Your estimations based on mainstream media or actually I don't know where you get data.The President is addressing health care, where premimums have gone up in part because of scammers. They steal we all have to pay. Education where if his economic promise of self reliance on green energy is effective then we have competent individuals to install wind mills and solar capturing media. This short inventory addresses two points, Do you know someone scamming the insurance industry? and is your education competent enough to relish in a green job.
I think money is the root of all evil... I think we can do the same thing without spending $12 billion of the tax payers money. Everything we have created/made in our world today we could have done without money. Take a look around as you drive home from work. All the bridges and roads and homes we have built we could have done it all without money. Money was only the motivator to get it done. Our society runs on paper and nothing but paper. Money and greed will bring this Country to it's knees.
These grants will be going to schools to do what the high schools have not done in the first place. So we are going to pay for a general education twice. We cannot predict what future jobs are going to be but we can give the people the tools to learn those jobs. It starts in the high schools. Do it right the first time. Don't ship people out of the schools without meeting the basic requirements. Look what happens with a mathematically challenged congress and executive branch when they get their hands on a budget.
Another way for "minority students" to make money.. enroll, then drop out and the money is returned to the student.. NOT back into the system for other to use, but to the (drop out) STUDENT!!! Yes "unbeleiveable", but I know this for a fact, my brother works in the financial dept of a Jr. College... and yea EdwardC.. you're right, they come to the "community" college and can't read or write or do basic math, so they have to take remedial classes for stuff they should have learned back in elementary and H.S....Obama and the "dummocrates" along with the "liberal media" are killing this country as we (50+ year olders) remember it. GOD.... Please Bless America again, help us conservatives turn this thing around before it's to late!!!
