Chips in official IDs raise privacy fears (AP)

AP - Climbing into his Volvo, outfitted with a Matrics antenna and a Motorola reader he'd bought on eBay for $190, Chris Paget cruised the streets of San Francisco with this objective: To read the identity cards of strangers, wirelessly, without ever leaving his car. » Full Story on Yahoo! News

NO, to the tracking chips. No, No, No - this isn't the way to democracy and freedom; in fact, it is the direct opposite.

0 comments...ur kidding right?! Yes the 'chip implant' has been a 'conspirisy' for a long time and now on yahoo they are saying 'hey its here already and getting bigger' and no one says anything. Right now the govt. is having fun taking away our rights, one group at a time, by the time they get this tags how they want our right to refuse them will be gone and they will be mandatory, if theres not one in you already..

Imagine this..Your a 45 year old couple going to the grocery store 2 miles from your house..you grab your buggy and as you shop you bag everything. You walk out with the buggy and bags through a scanner that scans all your items and your chip on ur card or body..you load it all up, get in your car, get to the exit make a left and suddenly theres 10 cop cars and 3 helicopters and a swat team surrounding you within seconds....continued...

continued .. for the next 6 months you are in and out of jails, courthouses, interigation rooms..trying to proove you are innocent and wondering how this happened. heres what happened..

When you first entered the store and was scanned a bored hacker got into your card, into your personal files and changed up your criminal record of that mistake as a child of stealing that cassete tape from wally world that mom made you leave on your record to make a point to..."rape, murder, assault with a deadly weapon, illegal immigrant, forgery..ect." and instead of buying eggs and milk when you walked out it actually states on your record you just bought 100 AK-47's..

continued...

continued.....yea..so while you are giving your beloved a kiss on the cheek in the car thinking how nice it is that theres no lines anymore the police were notified as you went through the scanner what you are wanted for and what you bought, by the time its cleared up the same hacker has already done it another 2500 times just for kicks cause he was bored and could do it, laughing from the comfort of his home cause, he didnt need to be there, hes watching you on the cameras already set up, eatin cheetos and drinking a crush, already transferring all your money into his bank account.

Lets all line up, get a chip and you get a FREE poster of Obama!!!

Rhis bill was first introduced by 3 senators......those Senators are:
Hillary Rodam, John McCain & Barack Hussein Obama.

The "Real ID" card is already being implemented through some workers who must sign on or loose their jobs.

As with all progroms implemented by government it will seep it's way into reality for all.

STOP the National ID card!!

These criminal snoopers want to know each and every time a taxpaying American goes to the bathroom, yet they can't 'monitor' the Mexican border where thousands upon thousands of illegal aliens cross every 24 hours.

How about an "off" switch? So it only sends info when I want it to. No, the government would never allow me to control their access to my info.

Already the criminals have better systems than the government...Always have and always will...And how long before the government (mis)uses this to track criminals...Or so they think. Your stolen ID, combined with my mask, used in a crime with no other evidence and you end up going to jail when your only crime was taking a nap in a nearby public park and getting your pocket picked...If I'm really feeling nasty, I'll even return the ID you 'Dropped by accident' while you slept.

What is worse, the disease or the cure? I just got off a blog about the Dearborn, MI Arab festival where Christians were denied the right to pass out pamphlets by the local court. A group took a camera in and were foricibly ejected (see YouTube). Until now I thought our problems were economic and the war in Iraq was keeping the terrorists busy shooting at our guys..over there. But they are here, and it is scary. My point: this RFID thing was originated to get a handle on who is here and why, and if you watch this video, you will see the why. The argument will be how much "freedom" in exchange for safety and preservation of what freedom we have left.

As hackers have shown, they can access these chips. Why isn't anyone designing a case that can block the signals?

Ok so this is Obamas fault??? This was in the works long before Obama, so quit complaining its Obama..... As for the passports its a good idea they just need to make one less hacker proof, nothing is 100% hacker proof but this needs to get more hacker proof.

These e-chips are vunerable to the very technology needed to "read" them. I'll leave the details to the wise.

One of the easiest ways to defeat this trash is to not carry any ID cards or be president of the U.S. On the record, Obama doesn't exist.

They can do this, but they can't finish the wall on the border to keep out illegals? Let's use technology for something that's worthwhile.

I can only hope that good, old-fashioned common sense will take hold here. Imaginations run wild in such situations founded in only what infomation that Follywood can come up with. That's actually the real terrorism.

I would think that those with nothing to hide won't worry too much, and those that do, will only have to work harder at hiding that which they should not be doing. Use some common sense.

Maybe we should go back to the horse and buggy days. Horses are already full of the same kind of chips as our us gov't. But the us gov't smells worse.

The arguments that the government uses in favor of the chips is spurious. Without fail, given any power over private lives, there is always some genetic misfire that has to have power over people. Government by its very nature abuses the privacy of its citizens every day and now they say "just gimme this little chip and I'll be good, promise I will" BS The really sad thing is that the bast_rds are going to get away with it because of an indifferent electorate. If you value your freedom then do something about it. I write to my congressman and senators often both to praise or denounce something they did. It doesn't bother me a bit to tell a senator that he or she keeps it up I"ll vote for anybody other than them. I'm only one person but if enough people adopted a pugnacious attitude toward the political scum that we have given our nation to they might sit up and take notice.
