Submarine detects signal from Yemenia black boxes (AP)

AP - A submarine scouring the Indian Ocean on Sunday detected the signal beacons of the two black boxes from a Yemenia Airways flight that crashed off the Comoros Islands, the French aviation agency said. » Full Story on Yahoo! News

Well, I guess one could say that this is good news....so to speak.

However, I for one am getting sick of the garbage being fed to us all by the disinformation agents that write for the AP.

If you want a real laugh. Use http://babelfish.yahoo.com/ to read the news from other nations. It will translate any page. And read more than one foreign news article. And then come back and compare it to what you read here. Then maybe you'll see why I'm rather fed up.

You really believe you know what's going on in the world while you only get your information from western media? Think again. They don't want you to be free thinkers. They only want you to believe what they tell you.

Good bye.

you'll never know the realty ,as rhe investigators are french, and they don't want thier national aviation manufacturer to appear guilty;especially after one month of the airfrance event.
So the easiest thing is to reley it on the weakest ring" yemani airlines"

Ask these airlines whether the French built Airbus jets were such a great deal now ??? Boeing may have been a bit pricier , but they're not crashing either . I'd rather take A BUS than board an AIRBUS . GO BOEING !!!! BUY AMERICAN !!!!!

Two for Two with the French- Made Airbus. Remind me not to use their
aircraft anytime soon. Boeing looks pretty good to airlines now, I would imagine. They may well be more expensive to buy and/or maintain, but,
they make their destinations, INTACT!

If you don't maintain your aircraft this is what happens. I don't think it's the design nor the pilots. It's the system we live in.

Airbus is going to be renamed Deathbus to tap into the suicide market. In answer, Boeing is now starting to build similar designs.

Can somebody explain how Black Boxes are not designed to float with a GPS transmitter?

They are inside of the tail and attached for one. It would cost a buck to do what you suggest for two. and you can only transmit sound from under water. Radio signals wont travel through the water, as I understand it.

My question is, "Why don't they put a flotation device on the Black boxes, that are actually Red"? Wouldn't it be a lot easier to find them?

I mean, at least 2/3 of the world is covered with water, and 100% of our transcontinental flights are over water...just a stupid question.

This has been going on since the beginning of these types of flights, isn't it time to make a change?

Everyone, join in and let's sing this song together.
Now, if only AF1 with the Chimp aboard would go down on the way
back from Russia. Talk about a sigh of relief and a celebration.

The black box always survives the crash, right?
So I'll ask the question once again:

Why don't they make the airplanes out of the same stuff they make the black boxes out of?

Blackk box is a misnomer. Flight data recorders are orange boxes. Stop calling it black boxes. When aircraft crash, searching citizens should be looking for orange boxes.

OK....am I the only one wondering why the black boxes from these last two Airbus crashes haven't been found? Seems that the French gov't is REALLY heavily involved in both, yet is unable to locate them. I'm sure this keeps people from canceling all their Airbus orders, which keep France's aviation industry afloat (no pun intended)...
