Congressman Cao would be looking for another party to back him if I were in charge. If the GOP can't count on him when they need him, they don't need him.

He should have voted 'present'. It wouldn't have changed the results but it would have kept the Nancers from saying Bi-partesan. That is why people are mad.

Basically the Democrats are just cutting their own throats. Heath care + 10.2= blood bath. I was watching the vote, and he cast his vote after the dems had 218. It's all political. I'll bet if it were 217-217 he would be on the other side of the fence. Essentially, his vote didnt matter either way so he figured he would go for it.

I think this is a good thing. It shows that even with a 45 vote majority, the democrats can barely pass a bill. I cant see the Senate and house coming to agreement on a unified bill.

Don't shot him yet! Remember the bill will have to come back to the conference committee if and when the senate passes their version of the bill. He's not the problem, the 219 democrats that voted for the bill are!

ANY Republican that voted for this is a traitor to their party. This issue is about as far left as you can get. Another case in point that the politicians follow the vote for job security. I don't know how you can have millions of Americans, who are normally silent, standing up and shouting about this issue and cast a yea vote anyway. And sorry, the party is not over still has to pass the senate. If it does say goodbye to the America as you know it. Hey Cao, you don't steal from the rest of the Country to help your "poor" constituents, you are suppose to pass legislation that solves problems like "big government", not create problems for everybody. Now, your constituents can look forward to slavery instead of freedom.

When the largest percent of your voter base are born into,raised on and will die on the welfare entitlement programs ,you vote for more welfare.Simple math.

This vote will keep him in office, at least it's his best shot at it. Having lived in New Orleans I was blown away when he was elected. The city is about as liberal in their politics as you can get. A social conservative could never win this district. If social conservatives chase away all moderate republicans, you will win a lot fewer of these types of races.

Thank God there is one thinking person in the republican party. Have none of you never had care denied. If this is a bad idea do away with medicare too.
