If they couldn't PREDICT the freaking mess we are in and the collapse of our economy, how in the hell are they going to PREDICT accurately when it will bounce back? The world’s industrial nations have pumped unprecedented amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere in the last seven years. During this same period, global temperature charts (Hadley, NASA's GISS, UAH and RSS) indicate the earth’s temperature to be entering a cooling trend. Clearly, this data contradicts the theory that man-made CO2 is causing global warming.
Based on this inconvenient lack of global warming in the last seven years, it is idiotic for Congress and those who drank the Kool-Aid to rush forward with CO2 legislation that, in all cases, will further burden Americans with higher costs for energy, services and goods. If they want to get us off foreign oil, just say so and focus on more drilling here in the US. If to develop alternative sources for use in fifty to one hundred years that are cheaper and cleaner than our present fuels, then just say so and provide reasonable incentives over an intelligent time frame instead of sending us more Weapons of Mass Deception!
The only thing that's growing quickly is the size of Government. If any jobs are being created, they're Government jobs.

There's new spin on the stimulus. Now's it's going to take two years to take effect. The purpose of stimulus is to get money into the economy quickly, so it has an immediate effect, of stimulating the economy. Not two years! Recessions normally don't last two years. We're still in this mess, because of Obama's meddling. We would have been on the road to recovery. The private sector isn't hiring, because they have no faith in Obama's policies.

Let's see. Obama has cap and trade looming, he's taken over GM and demanded higher mileage for autos, and he's just finished a world tour demanding that other countries lower their carbon footprint. These are very noble pursuits for which he should be applauded, but certainly not for any economic reasons. These measures are great for the environment, but absolute economic suicide for the country. There needs to be a balance that Obama's cabinet are completely ignoring. What a shame that the dems finally have the votes and the backing of the country and they're fcuking everything up.

Anyone who actually reads the cap and trade bill will see it was designed to End US jobs, not create them, and that it has nothing to do with the environment whatsoever.
The bulk of it is clearly intended to create new taxes on the citizens, and to force the remaining US manufacturing jobs to move to cheaper nations (China and India primarily) where there are No emission regulations so that polution actually INCREASES.
I worked in media for over 20 years and 80% of the stories out there have very little research done in order to write a story for the purpose of benefiting themselves.
Green jobs are a waste of time anyway since the technology is not NEARLY ready to be effective. Just look at Spain. They tried to do what we are now doing with green tech and it failed. they have been doing it for 12 years. That is a fact unlike what the media tries to report on.

Green jobs are growing as a result of direct funding by the US government. The government wants to create as illusion of a grass roots support to continue to waste taxpayers dollars.

Another lie from the obama administration. I work in a hospital and I get "low work loaded" about once every 2 weeks and my brother works on windfarms all over the country and he rarely gets work. Both of us worked fulltime and had chances for over time until about 3 months ago.

A friend of mine is trying to develop affordable wind power for every home in America. He is an Engineer graduated from Oregon State, so far every attempt to secure financing from the stimulus on this New Green Jobs Stimulus, Has been a bust. He has a great plan but know one in the government wants to here about it. I suspect it will help people to much and the government of to day does not want that. They prefer keeping the people of this country like mushrooms In the dark and full of sh***t. If this Kind of thing would be able to catch on It would create jobs all over the country. Just like the housing boom eventually leading us out of recession. But as long as Obummer and crew is in office I suspect any attempt from private industry to lead us out of recession will be suppressed.
