There will never be peace in Iraq. It doesn't matter if our troops stay or leave, so let's get out of there and whatever happens--happens.

History will remind us that Bush/Cheney lied about Iraq being a threat to the USA, WMD and Saddam Hussein's ties to Al Qaeda. All proven lies but these two EVILS successfully but ILLEGALLY led this country in the bombing and slaughter of over 100,000 innocent Iraqi women, children and BABIES with weapons of mass destruction. Bush/Cheney mass murdered innocents of a country that were NEVER a threat to US, but as history has shown, they will get away with this crime.

All it takes is one or more like minded individuals who want to create the impression that the sky is falling is for them to set off a bomb and kill a number of people. The media will then immediately begin to spin the incident to support whatever their version of conditions there may be. These people are not stupid and they know how to influence public opinion. You can expect repeated incidents of this sort and need to see through their intentions to understand the reality there. Iraq will see violence for the forseen future. It is just reality. This doesn't mean that the majority will not overcome and develop their version of a free country.

Do you mean that announcing to the terrorists that we are pulling out (and then doing so) didn't make Iraq stronger? Hmmm. Wait a second. That would mean that the Dalai Bama would be wrong, and we can't have that. Let's find a way to blame this on Bush/Cheney. We can't let The Messiah be wrong, can we?

Instead, let's focus on the great work he's doing in Africa. That'll really strengthen America. Let's spend billions more in Africa. We rely so heavily on Africa. We drive African cars, use African oil, buy African products. What a great choice.

Letting Iraq fall back into civil war and to fail only weakens our position around the world. Watch how quickly Iraq becomes Iran.

Turning things back over to the Iraqi's has really brought peace. They killed people to get rid of the US Troops and now they have the chance to prove that they can be peaceful and what do they do? Kill more of their own people. It's not America's fault the mental disability that these people have.

The Christian Bible says that no one would be able to control these people. This just irks the libs as the Bible said this some 3,000 years ago and it is right again.

These people can't even control themselves!!

The Christian Bible also said that we would be living in a world where everyone would be seeking "peace" and "unity" and it wouldn't be able to achieve(sp) it. That was recorded about 2,500 years or so ago, too. What do we see today.

The Bible always is proven correct. Wake up, America! Jesus is coming whether you want him to or not!

You people are dumb-asses.....we should have NEVER gone to Iraq. It was Bush's Daddy old vendetta and his little monkey got many civilians and soldier killed for NO REASON. We did not need to be there in the first place, so quit you bitching about how Iraqis deserve this because they don't! Because of the US greed, we have displaced many people and caused death to many more.

Saddam Hussein was the only person whoever kept the barbarian Iraqis under control. He did it with torture, guns, and poison gas. That's the only thing they understand. When the US pulls out of Iraq, there will be civil war. Iraq will probably split into three countries. There will be Kurdistan, Sunnistan, and Shiitistan. They will be at war with each other for centuries.

I hope to God that Americans will finally see through the Bush/Cheney lies that started this war in the first place. A lot of posters here want to place the blame squarely with the IRAQI people for the ongoing conflict. They did NOT invite America to invade & occupy their country. Be accountable America & at least have the balls & honesty to admit that Bush f*cked up - and stop blaming the IRAQI people for this grotesque tragedy.

All of the killing of Iraqi's was taking place under Saddam. It was just covered up. stewart t you need to go and read recent history. Saddam was using mustard gas and everything else on his own people just because they weren't from his clan!

The Christian Bible says that no one would be able to control these people and they are sure proving the Bible correct whether you like it or not.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- From the Oval Office, President Clinton told the nation Wednesday evening why he ordered new military strikes against Iraq.
The president said Iraq's refusal to cooperate with U.N. weapons inspectors presented a threat to the entire world.
"Saddam (Hussein) must not be allowed to threaten his neighbors or the world with nuclear arms, poison gas or biological weapons," Clinton said.

We need to pull completely out of the Middle East, no more news crews no more troops let them sort it out like they've been doing for centuries. That's what they want, that's what we need to give them.

We are now headed into the worst slump since 1938, and you better hope Obama can fix it because that was not a pretty time. Unfortunately, as in the Great Depression, the extreme conservatives (like Rush Limbaugh and the likes of him) would rather trash the country than have our government succeeds. I am sure that most Rep and Dem are middle of the road who love and care about this country, otherwise this Country would go down the toilet with the likes of the far left and far right who hate this country and don’t want the opposite party to succeed. They put the party before the people.

Unfortunate for people seeking freedom and change in the Middle East, the harsh reality is many of Middle Eastern areas in the world have been fighting since biblical times..... let the middle eastern folks figure things out for themselves.... a few rotten apples continue to ruin it for the whole bunch......

From my standpoint, America has enough financial troubles and issues as it is.... Sad but true, the US nor any country can continue to give money, resources, etc forever to solve problems that we truely do not understand 100%. Take care of our immediate neighbors prior to over extending our capabilities of solving world problems. Start with the US unemployment problem first...

Narnia said we shouldn't have been there.
Narnia STFU Your a dumb slut. It's muslims killing muslims. This is no different than Gaza or any other muslem nation where violence rulles.
Before, under Sadam, he killed muslems with impunity. I'll explain the word when I come over later.

Hmmm 3000 people burt dead in the twin towers, its worth paying for. The money problems arent because of the war. We have spent 7.8 trillion plus dollars in these so called bail out plans. Unemployment is a problem but it is an excuse, if you lost a job get a new one, do a loal job search, jobs are out there we hired many people in the last month. Stop welfare, you dont work, you dont eat, you dont work we dont need you.

The US military is still planting bombs to kill, and to create terror and fear. Iraqis won't be safe until they boot these terrorists out once and for all.

What a quagmire the US military is in. Do we stay and try to support an unappreciative Iraqi government that continues to cost the lives of our soldiers?
Or do we say,"the hell with them all", and get all of our people out of Iraq, and let them fight amongst themselves.
If we do the latter, Iraq will return to inter-clan fighting, and a general civil war will grip the country.
Also if we just abandon Iraq, and pull out completely, won't that mean that the thousands of our young men and women who perished in this god-forsaken country, died in vain?
I'm just glad, it is not I that has to make these decisions, and I pray, the decisions that are made, are the right ones.

The USA missed the bus...
If George H. Bush (Big Daddy) would have let us hard drivin' Desert Storm boys & girls take care of business back in '91, I strongly believe we wouldn't have all this crap to deal with today.
Then again... If the frog had wings, he wouldn't have bumped his ass so hard either.

People died because of lies. Haliburton made billions because of the same lie. Bush and Company made billions from oil deals. Billions of dollars, Gold, and Jewels disappeared in Iraq during the lie. Do you think it was about Freedom or Democracy? Hell no it wasn't and it isn't. Afghanistan is no different and I sure hope that your kids don't die for another lie because I don't see the POPPIE fields burning and they should have been the first thing to go.
