Swine flu shots at school: Bracing for fall return (AP)

I wonder if anyone is even sure what the statusof the flu outbreah is? In my area the local hospital and health care facilities refuse to test people for the flu and by extension of that policy won't treat it. There have been cases reported among our school children which were only reported after they werte recovered. Do other hospitals have this head in the sand policy?

leaningrig is absolutely right. The vaccine will likely be mandatory which is completely unconstitutional. Plus there's no way they can test the effectiveness or safety in such a short time. They'll want to start with our kids first, the bastards. Resist and demand the right to self quarantine if infected.

This thing is like AIDS in the since that they could have contained it, but didn't. Now it's spread everywhere - or so they say - and we all need to get a shot to ward it off. I'm not getting the shot because this is all a bunch of bull. This is just another way for the government to make some money off of us and scare us all to death in my opinion. Well, this ole southern boy isn't a coward and I'm not runnin anywhere. They can keep the shot. You can't kill a dead horse.

I'm sure glad ther'll be swine flu vaccinations available this fall, because we have sure seen an epidemic from this last encounter. Hell . . almost 25% of the world's population died from it. Oops . . that was a mistake. Only a handful of people died throughout the world . . but let's vaccinate everyone for every f*ckin' thing just to make sure nobody gets sick. Because . . you know . . if one person in a billion dies from something . . well . . that's one person too many.

If the flu doesn't kill u, this vaccine will.

You knew this was coming. I wouldn't touch the "Vaccination" for anything. The "Swine Flu" is way over-hyped-And is typical Media Pandering for the people that will benefit from it-Our Saviors in the "Pharmaceutical" business. They harm as many/more people as they help. Plus they cripple State & Fed. Budgets with their nonsense.

Is it going to be mandatory for the kids to have to take this? I have a gutt feelin that the ACLU is gonna be all over this one if it is.

Kind of worries me if the goverment is making the vaccination mandatory. Will it really be a vaccination against the fluor will it be another type of inocculation for something else that they goverment won't tell anyone about? Just a thought to ponder on. Do you really believe everything Washington tells us anymore?

My children will not be getting this vaccination. The last thing I want is a brand spanking new vaccination basically tested on my children, especially when the virus is not particularly lethal. If this was something that had a high fatality count, it would be different. Fortunately, I am a stay at home mom and I can afford for my kids to stay home from school sick.

Funny how no one mentions how many people die from the regular flu. Just slap a different name on the same old thing and call it a pandemic. The same group of people seemed to be affected by the swine flu as the regular flu. The very young and the very old.

How does the Obama administration know for sure that this is going to come back and infect the world to the point that we need vaccinations?

Before one "shoots up" with a vaccine that was created faster than just about anything previously done.....wait a bit to see the effects of this.

Even more amazing is this rapid creation of a vaccine for a virus that evolves every 24 hours or so.

Sorry, but they're not getting anywhere near my kids with this vaccine or any other.

I've never had any type of flu shot in my 40 years of life and I have only come down with the flu and handful of times. (knock on wood). Stay healthy, wash your hands and for God sakes, cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze and teach your kids to do the same.

Also, for a virus that evolves every 24 hours or so, we sure haven't heard much about it anymore like it just went away.

By then it will not be the same virus and the vaccine will be useless. But the drug companies know this. Flu vaccine is the biggest fraud in the world.

They will not be using my two year old son as a guinea pig.

I am very glad to see that people are becoming Scared of Vaccines. My children have never been vaccinated and are overall healthier than most.

Vaccines are just a way to cull the overpopulated world and to make money for the drug companies.

I do agree that vaccination should be a choice. Maybe we can finally get rid of all the conspiracy right-wing weirdos when they catch the swine flu and die because they are not vaccinated.

even at that, those persons were infirm and suffering from other

scored spectacular money figures through advertising and other

Well, don't worry...the "conspiracy right-wing weirdos" will be the first to stand up for your rights when forced vaccination gets here!

The best thing a person can do to protect themselves and their children is to load up on Vitamin C and other immune system boosters...if you must get the vaccine, which will be the case if the gov't gets its way, then getting the immune system ready to fight the ill-effects of the vaccine is a must.
