Iran's Mousavi vows to continue pro-reform campaign (AP)

AP - Iranian opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi made his first public appearance in a week Monday, vowing to continue his campaign against a government that he said lacks legitimacy. But his comments suggested he is abandoning massive street protests after they were quashed by a tough crackdown. » Full Story on Yahoo! News

Now would be a good time to begin making the move to restore the monarchy. It's a uniting force, very much maligned by the religious zealots, and is sorely needed - albeit with a democratic and representative parliament in place.

Got a question! Does anyone really bother to read the entire article other than the first two or three paragraphs? It seems its a rehash of the same old garbage that spews from these so-called supreme leaders!

All this international "chest thumping" started after obama took office. You can thank the "weak one" for this. Ole Joey-boy said obama was gonna get tested. Well, here's yet another test. Where's that steel spine? Perhaps obama donated it to China for rebar in the new Chevy plant.

He reminds me of those old dolls on a pedastal. When you push the bottom button it dances/flops around. Countries like Iran and North Korea are pushing his button and he's dancing like a lil' baby doll.

What a mouth full of Bull Snit! That coming from a nation whose people by the thousands are going West to Europe and N. America. And, that Hitler wannabe who says we should not interfere with how women dress while here and in Europe. If they want to come here, they must understand the old saying, "When in Rome, do as the Romans do".

The "Iranian nation will react", actually Khamenei will react. They will continue to treat women as animals or even worse, they will continue to finance terrorism and plan to "erase" others from the map... Khamenei is the new Hitler and Ahmadinejad is the brainwashed servant in the name of their nasty, virgin rewarding "god". Looks like under those stupid turbans, everything spins around those promised virgins... Is this a sexual matter or what?

When is Osama... oops, Obama going to realize that talking to Iran isn't going to solve anything. A lot of us are tire of the Bull S**t and think instead of screwing with Iraq we should have taken out the ayatollah kakamaimi. There are 2 countries causing trouble to the rest of the world. Iran and North Korea. Blow them away... Problem solved.

Achmed-dickinjad, the Supreme Council of Hypocrites, and the Supreme Dictator are the laughing stock of the free people of the world. How can you talk about "democratic process" and in the same sentence pay homage to the Supreme Dictator who can overrule the people's will and any law created through the "democratic process"? It is quite easy to see that the people's will comes in a distant second to the real agenda of maintaining absolute power within a circle of twisted religious fanatics. God's will trumps the people's will and only they decide what God's will is.

Besides, how can U.S. - Iranian relations get any worse other than war? "We'll be triple redbelt, kung fu mad at you!!" Or, "We'll burn 2000 U.S. flags a day instead of just 1000! Be very afraid!" Pahlease.

Only Michael Jackson could be trusted more!

Our president is the MOST trustworthy, honest, and straightforward individual in the world.

Look at unemployment. He said it wouldn't go over 8%, and he was righ....uh, never mind....

Want to do something about the ayatollahs, cut down on your use of oil products, hit them in the pocketbook. And avoid buying goods from nations whose governments are freindly with the murderous mullahs. These include China, Venezueal and Russia

Too bad we don't have a President with balls because I would thoroughly enjoy seeing someone standup and tell these Iranian Clowns to go to Hell. That their elections were a complete sham and their crackdown on unarmed innocent individuals was uncalled for and that their goverment is a TOTAL and COMPLETE FARCE.

Now is the time for the civilized Western world to stand up for principles and oppose the theocratic dictatorship in Iran. No room for negotiations left with the ruling mullahs. They are on their way out whether Obama/Biden like it or not. Let the US administration align itself with the freedom loving and democracy seeking people now. The consequences of not doing so is much more damaging later than not negotiating with the current Iranian government

I predict, and I seem to be really good at this prediction type of thing; that another foreign intervention will have a negative effect on the Khamenei regime in Iran. I predict it be the will of Allah. I'm sure Allah does not like pretenders to the throne amongst his people.
If I were Khamenei knowing the Allah does not support anything untrue I would worry and do a lot of praying for Allah's forgiveness.
But then sociopathic narcissist rarely aren't ever humble and are always far too arrogant to A. (actually believe in anything greater than themselves; let alone anything divine) and B, mostly believe they define the divine for others.
Methinks Khamenei is only proving without a shadow of any doubt his own lack of legitimacy as either a spiritual, humane, or governmental leader and is only proving that absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Who here really thinks that Khamenei is the Supreme of anything?
Sad and Pathetic.

So the thugs in Iran don't want foreign meddling in their internal affairs....actually that's a pretty good idea....I wonder if they will feel that way when we don't meddle in Israel's affairs and let them nuke the Iranian Nuclear Facilities. One thing I would hope would be that if Israel does go nuke on anybody that it's Air Bursts only, no ground bursts there's enough crap in the Atmosphere already.

Just curious about something.

If there is a news blackout in Iran and all media is bared from the country, how is such detailed information getting to the media to report what is going on?

Also, it seems that the main body of the story remains the same and only the "catchy" title changes?

The "meat" of the story is the same, day after day. Isn't it time to get on and put this story to bed and concentrate on new material?

It is becoming rather redundant.

Iran clearly needs to clean up its act. Khameni should stop meddling with the elections held in his own country. Obviously the mullahs haven't come up with a transparent procedure for selecting a competent and legitimate "top leader." He needs to be impeached by a jury of his peers, a process that already seems to be underway. Europe paid a heavy price for failing to do the same thing with respect to the Papcy. Weapons technology being what they are, the world can ill afford to keep making the same mistakes. We don't need any more wars of religion either within the Islamic world, or between it and the rest of us. This planet is no longer big enough for this kind of ill-advised fanaticism
