I never could comprehend the aversion to taxing the rich. After all, the rich are the ones with the money, aren't they. How can you tax the folks without cash? Throw them in prison? Yeah, right, then anyone paying taxes will still have to support them.
Yet again, take the road that eliminates least votes, Obama and cronies! Watch the People's Republic of California for guidance. 140,000 of 29 million voters in CA pay over 2/3 of the taxes yet use less than 1% of the resulting funds stripped from them. Now CA is going bankrupt and cannot pass a budget! Now we're doing similar federally. Try cutting the iniquitous benefits received by the union members whose unions pay vast amounts to your campaign funds to ensure you are elected and that you continue the rape and pillage of those who keep trying to build America's future.
Hey, Have you noticed that this "anonymous" person seems to know something about every story posted by the AP? Almost every single story now days seems to come from anonymous sources. Are we supposed to believe all of this stuff they're printing? Do we even have a reliable news source in this country anymore? I think all of our media have turned into propaganda spreading agents. I've noticed that they don't report all the facts in a story anymore and seem to be adding more and more of a biased spin to every article... It's getting much harder to learn the truth about anything anymore...
Just who do they mean by "the rich"? Members of the Billionaires Club...?..I imagine that if THEY were taxed big time, they would kill even more of us. What they plan to do with their pooled billions is to reduce the world population by 11%..or more...members of this club include Oprah, David Rockefeller, Warren Buffett. Bill Gates, George Soros...and many more ALL Billionaires....They should have given MUCH to the Government years ago...but instead of helping ANYONE..their plan is to kill.....or what is it..? Depopulate ? Call it what you will, but I call it mass murder..or Genocide................
The top earners in the country represent 5% of the taxpayers. But they pay more than 60% of all the taxes. These individuals earn $150,000 and up. They are also the ones who own businesses and provide jobs, salaries, benefits, and more often than not re-invest in their local communities. Now our Congressmen - who earn between $200,000 and $270,000 want to tax these "rich" people even more. But notice they wrote the bill so they aren't considered "rich" even at $270k (plus full benefits) per year. So when the guy who is earning $150k and providing jobs and tax revenue finally gets fed up and moves everything to a friendlier country, who you gonna blame? Who do you think is gonna get tapped to pay more taxes then?

My new country's name is Freedomland. Now, I, as president must apply for foreign aid from your country. Your congress wants to keep the commies out so they will support my new country of Freedomland and send me a US Ambassador and about 25 billion in aid. Class warfare Pt. 2 -
Halliburton used to be a very large employer in Texas, with employees throughout the world. After getting fed up with the barrage of taxes and political blood sport, they discharged most of their employees and moved their Headquarters to Dubai. Our tax and spend government not only lost huge tax revenues from the company, but also lost the tax revenue of a lot of people who lost their jobs or moved to Dubai also. Look for an exodus of American jobs and businesses leaving. The Democrats have done a great job of perpetuating class warfare, because "sticking it to the rich" resonates, and it's a great way to draw attention away from how they are spending the money. Look at this comment board, at all the people who are saying "YEAH, TAX THE RICH". Soon... they will BE the rich. Wonder if their attitudes will change??
Tell congress to screw themselves. Tax, tax, tax. It is rediculous. Why do the 'rich' have to pay more taxes? Rich people work, also. They are part of the "WORKING American families". Who the hell do the dems think they are? CALL, WRITE and SCREAM at your elected officials and the White House - that we are SICK AND TIRED of being taxed and taxed and taxed. We have to live within our means - Shouldn't they?????????? Hell YES.
If this increase in health care costs is for american citizens only then it should be funded by audits to catch the individuals who are abusing the system. The folks who are making the kind of money you are talking about (certainly not me) are also the one who is still spending and we need them. I also would disagree with any cuts in medicare other than stopping people who are abusing the system. I have worked my whole life to retire and now the Obama administration wants to make sure that if I get sick that insurance will not cover me because I am over 65.
The working people who have supported this country for all of their lifes must be taken care of. What ever system for medical care they come up with the American people should vote on and everyone in the Federal government must contribute to it and enroll in the plan and all of there existing plans must go away.
Perhaps Obama - the guy who reads from the teleprompter - should hold his cabines accountable for taxes. How many of them are tax criminals? And do not forget Chairman Rangel.
Congress hasn't a clue about fiscal management. The Congressional Majority is out of control.
You all act like the rich do not pay any taxes. I do not remember seeing anything on the tax forms that show a cut off on wages. People who make a lot and have businesses pay a lot of other taxes that the regular guys do not and you may not be familiar with like social security for employees, inventory tax, business tax, property tax and so forth. I do not believe in a system that robs from the rich to give to the poor. They earned it through hard work or good investments then let them have it. If they haven't been paying their fair shares of taxes like most of Hussain's cabinet, well either put them in prison or give them a position in Hussain's cabinet. That would only be fair.
There is not going to be enough money for all the care demands, even if you bleed the rich dry. What is noble about passing laws that take money away from any one? It's alot closer to armed robbery than it is to anything noble.

So while cap and trade pushes what little manufacturing we have left in the US to India and China, we want to increase taxes on the largest remaining source of employment in the US at the same time.....

Yep, they really plan on taxing everyone - then blaming Bush! Well, everyone except our elected elite - they will no doubt be exempt, by law!

Who says the American Health Care System is broken? It's expensive, yes I agree. How much of the cost for health care is to offset the huge medical malpractice insurance that physicians and hospitals and clinics have to pay? How much of the cost comes from unreasonable prices for drugs? How much does it add to the cost when insurers including Medicare and Medicaid do not allow us to shop for less expensive generic drugs, or buy drugs from a foreign country? We have the best health care in the world. The problem isn't our health care and the cost of treatment. The problem is the legislation that favors and protects the lawyers, insurance companies, and pharmaceutical companies. Fix the real problem Congress. And watch our cost for health care drop to a level we can all afford.
What a surprise, they want to levy more taxes on the "rich". Those that have get to keep and those that don't get to suck off the government tit and those in the middle get the shaft. Just like very other socialist paradise. Obama's agenda is running out of greenhouse gas and is powered by cattle methane. Get out your torches and pitchforks and pay your local representative a visit.
When they said over $350K / year I was estatic as that was the new definition of rich. Then they went for $200K then $150K as it worsened and they needed more and more revenue to fund the program. Soon they were taxing $100K year earners and then they came for me and it was too late to do anything. Then I wondered what would they do next?
