Tremors may indicate risk of big California quake: journal - Yahoo! News

An increase in tremors deep under California's San Andreas fault may be the harbinger of a major earthquake, according to a study out Friday in the journal Science. » Full Story on news.yahoo.com

What a statement dude.

The big one is only weeks away and you're talking about " MAY" What a joke. Ask the seismiologists last weeks' results and the molten lava flowing out of Burbank potholes.

Hate to see that "big one" that all are waiting for to happen. But, God forbid if it did, then CA will get lots of Federal money and be back in the green instead of the state going bankrupt.

as long as the ground keeps shifting a little here and there the 'big one' will never happen. the time to worry is when nothing is happening. so let it happen let the ground shake. the more it settles the less likely a big quake will happen.

Just think if Kali-e-fornia has a major quake already being bankrupt, they'll qualify for FEMA funds, rather than begging Obamma for federal welfare to pay their own welfare leaches.

And the sun is going to end in a million years and an asteroid is going to hit the moon and there is water on mars so that means there is life there.
How many times have we heard this story? Can California please fall off into the sea and get it over with.
How about checking to see if there is any intellegent life on earth starting in Washington and ending with the person writing this. Myself included.

California might be better off if and when the Big One hits. Seriously.

"We've shown that earthquakes can stimulate tremors next to a locked zone, but we don't yet have evidence that this tells us anything about future quakes," Nadeau said.
Smoke and mirrors. I expect another Yahoo article next week blaming the quakes on the Gullible Warming Monster awakened by the incantations of Chief Wizard Al Gore. That would make as much sense as this stupid article.

What are the IOU's worth after CA falls in to the ocean?

Since this is an estimated 70% probability, within the next 30yrs, this "WMD" earthquake probability has to be used as a part of the equation for determining the market value, if any, of CA's IOU's.

I keep track of earthquakes as a hobby. The California area normaly gets 400 to 1100 a week and that doesn't count the microquakes. There have been 506 in the last 7 days. One town north of Frisco get over 100 a week. The interesting thing I find about quakes is they are proof that sh*t happens. Like getting hit by a bus.Try to remember to flip off the bus driver cause its gonna happen.
