If the guy was just a guard, how can you blame him for following orders? Isn't that was the military is suppose to do? Follow the orders of their superiors? If a general orders an illegal tactic, should all the soldiers who followed his orders stand trial to?

Hey,why don't the Nazi's that America brought in for their behavior mod programs and tech programs stand trial? We have them to thank for the brainwashing and torture of innocent American children during the fifties and sixties.And I have to say,it seems they were involved in some of the highest crimes in our land,re: Sirhan Sirhan. I heard the testimony of a victim on line about a bunny that was killed.The kids were forced to witness this or participate in stuff like this so they would dissociate.When I hear of this torture,I can't help but recall that the FBI played the sound of rabbits being tortured over loudspeakers at that Waco place.I wonder the extent to which these freaks have taken over our security and the minds of law enforcement.One of the last sounds these freaks let little American kids hear before being firebombed, was that horrific sound.And where is Peta ?They go after businesses and profit.

I would not defend anyone who committed atrocities, regardless of the time gone by. HOWEVER, in this case it seems they have accused this guy of being in 3-4 different places, of being Ivan the Terrible, then not. It sounds like the evidence against him is flimsy. I am not sure what is to be gained by prosecuting this guy.

Each accident had a controversial person aboard...a woman, teacher, in the first case and the second...an Israeli. I ask you...are the Nazi's being paid with taxpayer money to devise programming that hurts us? And are they living good lives with savings and bank accounts at our and our kids expense? I remember John Demjanjuk's trial in Israel for allegedly being "Ivan the Terrible." Eyewitness survivors from the Nazi death camps were brought in to identify Demjanjuk as "Ivan." In particular, I remember one survivor in court shaking with anger and rage, who with bulging eyes looked at Demjanjuk and loudly proclaimed "That's him!!"
Well, it turns out the eyewitness survivor was wrong. Demjanjuk was not "him" and was let go by the Israeli court.
I think we will get more of the same false identification in the German court.
Demjanjuk is being hounded and persecuted by people who desperately want him to be the evil person they hate. I don't think they really care about the truth--it's all about vengence. And if the vengence is aimed at the wrong target, well too bad...life is tough.

If evidence shows this guy is guilty,I can't see why he hasn't been found guilty of anything. I guess this shoots down all that hatred Jew theory in the US. Some of you people need to watch more TV and get off the internet. There have been numerous TV specials about these camps and how they were operated. The guards who worked at these camps did so on a voluntary basis. Working at a concentration camp and being a "Star Performer" while there earned you a fast route to promotion, even more so than serving on the front lines. The guards at the camps were sworn to secrecy. Fellow German soldiers knew that the Jews were being sent to concentration camps but they did not know what was happening to them once they were there. German civilians didn't know what was going on. So, if this guy was Ivan he was killing men, women, and children on a voluntary basis and apparently enjoying every moment of it. That is why they want to hopefully hang the bastard.
