I don't think there's a way to stop women from aborting pregnancies that they don't want; women have been doing it for hundreds of years, even back when society as a whole had more "morals" and "integrity." With that said, it makes sense to make abortion safer. I'm sure as hell it beats throwing yourself down the stairs.

I wonder if all of these people who are protesting this type of abortion have adopted unwanted children and provided for them. I would also be amazed if they all practiced the abstinence they preach to their children.

Good to know that people are working to improve the safety of these drugs. I agree that responsible people use birth control, but to those of you calling women who have abortions sluts, you're really over-generalizing. A monogamous friend of mine became pregnant because a drug she takes for a serious illness counteracted her contraceptives. Not sluttish. And remember: when you say 'outlaw abortion', you're saying the life of an unborn fetus is more important than a grown woman with a personality and, if you will, a soul. How hateful!

Being that I'm a liberal, but a free thinker, I find it beautiful how there's usually a whole "I have a right to choose what happens to MY body" argument going on, and it's an argument that for some reason is never challenged.

What I'm saying is, the "right to choose what happens to my body" argument is irrelevant, it does not apply. The reason is that it's not what's going to happen to YOUR BODY that is the reasoning behind the decision. You are concerned about what will happen to YOUR LIFE. So please, if any of you use that argument, come up with a new reason.

While I don't believe in abortion, hopefully it will always be a private matter. It is upto that couple or that woman to decide; it is not upto a bunch of religious fanatics who think they can dictate the lives of others.
It bewilders me that all of these religious fanatics don't adopt the babies that put up for adoption instead of being aborted. It is also criminal that people allow violence against woman who have to LEGAL RIGHT TO AN ABORTION.

NEWSFLASH, a woman has the legal right to have an abortion in this country, as it is in most civilized nations. If you can't handle it, then maybe you should move to the wonderful god fearing countries that fully or mostly restrict abortion. Feel free to choose any of the following destinations: Chad, the Congo, Mexico, Egypt, somalia, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Niger, el Salvador, Afghanistan, etc.
