Saving money for your tenants keeps them from moving. I wanted a green job. The employment agency got me on as a painter.

Read between the lines. The headline is suggesting that this "green" nonsense is the issue at hand. This is merely a renovation. THAT is what will attract more tenants.

More and endless b*******. Buildings have been built energy efficient for the past thirty to forty years. Then recently a group of enterprising architects, their field of professional contribution having deteriorated with CADD, decided upon a new scam: Green Buildings.

The novelty idea dovetailed into decades of propaganda in the public education system about the environment.

The USGBC is now making millions about nothing!

Ignorance is a sad state of affairs.

The reason they have so much space is because of the economy. unemployment 10% and rising. Also the fact that osama is still loose and making threats dosent help either.

It's about time that businesses in the US figured out that it is not only good sense environmentally to save water and energy and ultimately money but that it also makes good economic sense. For the naysayers: I guess you would never do something like put double glazed windows in an old house to save money on heating and cooling bills would you? Guess what boys and girls, that sort of renovation saves money in a commercial building too. Duh! It's like they say: You can't fix stupid.

They just got sick of paying all that money for their electric bills every month. Tall office buildings can consume as much energy as a small city. It is incredibly wasteful. I believe the owners of those buildings know something we don't know about the future of our energy supply.

It appears that they got some govt green subsidy to put in new windows and have written the article to make it sound like there is some authentic consumer demand for "green" office space, which is doubtful.

Are these windows really economical, or are they only artificially so due to a govt subsidy? I strongly suspect the latter.

All the light bulbs & AC Units in my house are energy efficient. My monthly PSE&G bill has dropped by $15-$25 per month over the last 3 months. I think I will get some solar lights for outside now ...

If they needed tenants - why not lower their outrageous taxes so business and working people can afford to do business or live there. How about that?

Cut spending on illegal squatters.

Or they can follow the California lead and go bankrupt as well...Add more taxes on a shrinking number of working people and businesses in New York. Spend an ever increasing amount of money on a growing number of people who don't belong there or deserve it, and support big, liberal spending government.

Here's a hint on DEMs/liberals. AP, as you already know is made
up of libs. In writing, look for the word 'iconic.' It is an overused
expression. It's used because it is popular now and liberal writers
use it frequently because they believe it is hip to do so, 'Iconic' or
'icon' is a dead giveaway the user is a frickin' lib
