Russia to allow U.S. arms shipments to Afghanistan (AP)

AP - Russia said Friday it will allow the United States to ship weapons across its territory to Afghanistan, a long-sought move that bolsters U.S. military operations but potentially gives the Kremlin leverage over critical American supplies. » Full Story on Yahoo! News

Russia allowing the US to transport War materials across their territory doesn't signal any "thawing" of the strained relationship between the two powers, or signal easing of State controls in Russia either. It's simply to Russia's advantage to deter Islamic power centers, after all Russia has it's own "Islamic Problem" in several provinces. Why not allow the US to act as a surrogate force for Russian intentions in the region?

Obama is a Professor and BIG MOUTH! Putin is KGB, quiet, Smart and has a Bio/Resume longer than OBAMA'S DNA chain. AKA, I would like a leader like Putin vs. Obama, the $13trillion Dollar Credit card Consumer! Obama spent more money in 100 days than ALL THE PRESIDENTS IN USA HISTORY. ALL of them did not spend as much as Obama did in 100 days. He is worse than a child with a Visa Card. Professors are "loosers" because they never succeed at anything but "spitting" out what books print. Professors are Liberal Loosers of Society. History will prove this for Obama the looser!

Wow, do we also need their permission to continue the operations in that part of the world? And just who will we be supplying these weapons to? I mean, poppy fields don't wage war, do they? And what happened to all the weapons we shipped in during the 80's? Did we have their permission then as well? Wouldn't it be better if we are establising some kind of trade venture with weapons to actually get the permission of the country we are dealing with (in this case Afghanistan) instead of some other country? Or is this the same tactic used by gangs and drug dealers when crossing anothers territory/street? So many questions, so little answers!

The US is still seeking (blindly) 9/11 revenge, so they are targeting any Arab/Muslim. Russia is still wanting revenge from 30 years ago. That's what this is all about. How much is this deal costing the US? Does the US have any money left?

Is this America? No one can actually discuss any issue without Obama name calling and goofily silly statements.

Rather than discuss the significance or issues of the stories, everyone just starts off making rediculous conspiracy theory-like statements. No one asks if this is actually useful to US troops in Afganistan, which other countries would also need to allow equipment through (look at a map), or whether the distance might just be too long to be practical? Would supplies go through Europe/Caspian or from the east. Does this mean that Pakistan is now too dangerous to ship supplies through?

Nope... just name calling and wild things like Russia arming Cuba, drug money, Obama being a communist, etc. That's the level of US caring or understanding about its own troops fighting overseas? You've got young men dying over there. These guys murdered thousands of your citizens. Yet, even this is just an opportunity for mindless political bashing?
