Daughter defends mother in Internet hoax trial (AP)

I hope this Drew woman gets every bit of the 25 years (and more) that she deserves.
Sick, sick, sick. I bet she was a Cheerleader when she was in School.

I know that this cruel, heartless, evil woman is not being charged with anything to do with the girl's suicide, but I wish that she is found guilty of conspiracy and the three counts of accessing computers without authorization (which I think she is guilty of) and gets the maximum of five years for each. She needs to spend the next 20 years in prison for what she has done to that girl and her family. I know that the defense is saying that this case should be dismissed because she did not read the guidelines before checking the box, but it is your own fault if you don't read something before you agree to it or put signature on it. This whole thing just disgust me because this was not some stupid teen, this is a 49-year-old woman. Is this woman that pathetic that to make herself feel good, she had to harass a young girl until she finally killed herself?

This lady was just playing a joke and like all jokes is was funny till somebody got hurt then it was f*** i n g hilarious

hope the cow and her co worker get the max possible for these minimal charges and then get sued in civil court for the suicide.

It is hard to believe that there are not more severe penalties for what this woman did. What in the world was she thinking? She not only deserves jail but should be thrown under the jail. Now I see the judge is considering dismissing the case because "she never read the my space rules." What a crock!

This horrible and evil woman should be hanged publicly. (We are too civilized to do that). But how can she get away causing a disturbed helpless teenager to commit suicide. The prosecutors need to press every possible charge and put her away for a very long time. May she rot in hell !!!!

talk about cruelty! these gals knew the poor girl was ill and took advantage of it. this story is just so sickening.....they all need to ROT in HELL!

So Drew thinks that she can get out of this because she didn't "read the guidlines?" That's like saying you did not fail a test because you didn't read the directions. PATHETIC!

if drew thought that megan was talking about her both should have confronted megan and her mom. if they knew megan was suffering with depresson they should have just asked instead of harrassing megan on myspace, for goodness sake these people were neighbors. now that they did "Mess With Meagon" look at their position. Meagon is dead, her parents devoiced, and the Drews life is now maddness. of all people Mrs. Drew should have known better and confronted this problem when she first heard about it. Now Mrs. Drew put not only her but her family in trouble. As for Mrs Drews friend she was awhere of Meagons issues and what the Drews were planning, and the fact they could get in trouble for what they were doing-yet she did nothing to stop what they had in plain for Meagon. What kind of example is she setting for her daughter.

Lori Drew is a mother and she should be totally ashamed of herself.The pain that shse caused this young girl to the brink of suicide,and the pain the young girls family, not to mention the embarresment her family faces. Her own child(children) are affected by this cruel act. as a parent myself I would not allow my children to have anything to do with this whole family.
One can only hope she gets everything she deserves.

I want to know why the American cilil liberties union and the American Disability Act is not filing charges as well. This piece of crap, this useless member of society deserves to be persecuted for the rest of her life. The family of this girl should file suit against her, having her wages garnished, as well as the daughter, for life, so each day they will wake and wonder why they did it.
