Could send all that there oatmeal to Mississippi. Salmonella sure does cure obesity real fast. Can't eat or stop pooping for the longest time....Course, then you gotta have sewers that work....Phew! One time Grandma....but, have to save that story for another time....

FDA doesn't have the power to hire the Inspectors needed. Meat Inspectors, etc were cut during the Bush years 'cause to him food safety meant nothing.

It's all the illegal Mexican's they hire and their nasty butt's causing this. They never wash their hands after using the john and everyone gets sick because of it.

2 years!!! Isn't that a long time to wait for a recall??? Imagine the number of people who have already eaten this and gotten sick!!! We need quicker notification folks, seems we are the last to know and then it's been so long that most of it is already been used.

If you heat it to boiling and stir it well, it would kill Salmonella and E. coli as well. I never just warm anything like soup. I boil it, then let it cool off...just to be safe. If you eat mad cow infected food though, cooking does not kill it. That's why I don't eat meat. Getting diarrhea is one thing, but dying is not worth the risk.

Once again I must say. It was President Bush who cut back the FDA and deregulated the food industry. This folks is what you get when big business controls itself. READ, PLEASE before commenting.

The hypocrisy here is this - Many of you complain we have TOO much government and they you cry and complain when federal organizations are cut and we have crises. You can't have it both ways, folks. If you promote less goverment do cannot blame the government when things go wrong. GET IT! Someone PLEASE GET A CLUE!

What they won't tell you is, the dry milk with most food producers are imported from China now. I found this out the hard way in 2007(long story but it damaged my health).
Call your congressman and ask him what happened to the food safety bill they shelved in late 2007. The bill would have made it mandatory for food producers/suppliers to label all food as to where it was grown/made. This should have been done decades ago, but nope still without it today and more food is imported with each passing year.
Maybe they fear if a person reads the label and it says it was made in China the people wouldn't buy it and piss the Chinese off, our biggest lender? HA the people screwed again!

I am surprised that more people aren't sick or dead with all the food ingredients we are allowing from other countries that aren't tested before their use. Remember the stuff from China that was altered to look like it had more nutritional value than it did. Funny thing arsenic, antifreeze and a lot of other items are being used to enhance their value. Never mind someone dying or getting sick, these are the values that the Secular left and anti God forces around the world, including here. Anything to make a buck, and yet we keep putting people like these in office. No different than Pelosi, Reid or Frank.

Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist nut but, does it seem weird how many companies are having these issues? Do you think the government is trying to control them and then showing how they can by issuing these recalls?

I'm surprised the american people haven't gotten thinner with all these recalls. Seems to me not only do the producers of these products care, but the we seem to forget healthy habits in general. But still, there will come a point where there will be so many recalls that we won't even look anymore..... or are we there yet?
