While I believe that a monarchy may be in the past; at least Britain's faux-leaders are leading productive lives, with some service in their military. Flying helicopters can be a dangerous career, as is going to Afghanistan for a few months.

I don't agree with a monarchy, I don't agree with the pomp and circumstance surrounding it, but at least they are getting as much real world experience as their position will allow them. What have our leaders done today that is even close? I didn't see Obama in Afghanistan for months, and I don't see him learning to fly helicopters. All I see him doing is finding ways to spend our dollars and spending his lifetime in school. I don't think he's even had a real job.
