Punk musician Barker sues over SC plane crash (AP)

Apparently everyone in the plane except the pilots are important. The media seems to focus on the misfortune of the rock stars and their friends but could care less about the two dead pilots and their poor families.

That is interesting. Also interesting is that Travis is only suing for $25,0000. That will barely pay his medical copay for his time in the burn unit. Either he's a really nice guy or he has a crappy lawyer.

He should be thanking his lucky stars that he survived! Why is he suing anyway, he doesn't need the money. If any money is paid, it should go to the families of the deceased....

I agree. What a P.O.S. I used to be a fan of his even after the way he treated his ex-wife but this just goes to show that he really didnt learn anything from this ordeal. He fails to realize that this isnt anything that Goodyear, Bombardier (Lear Jet) nor the pilots wanted to happen...it was an accident. And why $25,000? His tattoos probably cost more than that....(lightbulb)...maybe he just wants them to pay for the tattoos he has to get re-did....jerk

Just down right sickening! At what point are we as a society gonna start smacking these dumba***s on the back of the head and be done with these idiotic lawsuits? I don't know about you folks, but I would just be glad that I'm alive and that someone actually came by or would come by and help get me out of a burning plane. Plus the fact that if I were a musician (just for arguments sake) and had that kind of money, I would help out those who suffered from the crash.

After losing two of my nieces not long ago to a house fire, I can sympathize with the pain he must feel. I found out recently that his ex is my second cousin, so I suppose I should care somewhat, but, really, what can he possibly get out of this but more reminders of what happened to him and the others...pointless

Just because he has money and is famous doesn't mean that his assistant, body guard and others were. If he backs a lawsuit it will be taken more seriously because he is a more famous and because the others are dead means that the courts don't have to look at them.

Does that mean that no one must have consequences... the plane was improperly kept, does no one need to be responsible because the sole survivors are rich? How do you know that he isn't thanking god for being alive?

Or, maybe you could get the plane off the ground and ask Mr. Baker to go out and change the tire somewhere along the flight. And $25,000 is just to get exposure. Insurance covers all medical. mean,how many of you want to hear about a pilot crashing and getting killed? Of course you'd read it and say "Oh, thats too bad". Everyone knows the "story" that we have all read but its not travis's story or the pilots story or his friends story....its just the story that the news reporters know will capture your attention and give them attention!
