Amnesty slams Georgia, Russia over war conduct (AP)

AP - Both Georgia and Russia seriously violated international law during their war in August, rights group Amnesty International charged Tuesday. » Full Story on Yahoo! News

It's a very said fact that civilians died on both sides and that UN let Russian troops be stationed there in violation of International law: Russia has been the part of the conflict since the very first day it deployed its "peacekeepers". Georgia had no interest to launch the attack because it was funding Sanakoev's (S.Ossetia's pro-Georgian leader) government, rebuilding its parts, opening children's playgrounds and parks, shopping centers. Why would he spend so much money on it if he had planned to destroy it. I do not buy to that I am sorry. The fact is that Russian assigned leadership in S.O. had served russian secret Services very well. how a population of 30,000 people can be called a country? It is the fact that Russia wants to ocupy Georgia slice by slice.

In his August inteview with CNN journalist putin said that Georgia attacked him, meaning that S. Ossetia (named after the Bolshevik revolution when Rocki tunnel was dug that allowed pro-russian Ossetian soviets to move there from the North). Thesre are thousands of Ossetians living along with Georgians in the capital and everywhere else and they struggle for ending separatism along with Georgians. Russia thinks it has power and can get away with this, besides it wants to prevent Georgia joining NATO, not because it is afraid of NATO, just because it won't be able to achieve its final goal, Bringing Georgia and Ukraine under Russian Federation. you must be very naive to miss this points. As for the civilian victims, their families should be taken care of.
