OAS set to suspend Honduras after coup (Reuters)

He was getting buddy buddy with Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, that's probably where he got the idea of doing away with term limits. Isn't it funny how part of becoming a dictator involves elimination of term limits.

Barak Hussein Obama will probably mention it as "up for consideration" if he gets re-elected and isn't inpeached before the end of his second term. No doubt that's one of the problem areas he was thinking about when he said, "The Constitution is flawed."

Oh by the way, Venezuelan citizens are now limited in how much money they can send out of the country. Hugo wants to be able to confiscate as much as he can.

If the Obama administration gave a rat's ass about "Democracy" and the rule of law they would be SUPPORTING in interim Government, not condemning it......

Real story is that the people of Honduras stopped a coup when they k***d the pres out for tryiong to dismember the constitution ansd set himself up as the spream leader like some place else I know

Barak Hussein Obama must help Honduras. Chavez has to learn from this experience that the law is above him even in Venezuela and one day it will
be his time to be ousted. So far I don't trust Obama. He is moving the
country to the left and wrong direction.

How can President Obama take this position against the People of Honduras, it is unconscionable. The People of Honduras removed a President who was threatening to make himself into a dictator.

In the future Mr President, just keep your mouth shut. George Washington's advice on these matters was clear when he stated "Do not get entangled in the Politics of Europe".

It past time for America's Politicians to fix the problems at home, and let the rest of the World take care of their own.

This 4 th of July we celebrate Hondura for its freedom and strenghth to fight the dictators of South America Obama,Chavez, Castro and any other country that supports the OAS. This was not a coup it was a nation that stands for preserving its constitution and their congress and supreme court ordered the Military to get rid of their President that is charged with multiple crimes including drug smuggling. The US press is slanting the story to protect Obama who is siding with his Buddy Chavez.

I have not read the charter of the Organization of American States, nor have I read the Constitution of Honduras. However, the Supreme Court of Honduras ordered the Honduran military to arrest Manuel Zelaya and transport him out of the country. I kinda believe the Supreme Court of Honduras has read and understands its Constitution. I can't imagine that the OAS Charter gives Secretary General Jose Miguel Insulza any right to DEMAND that Honduras allow its would-be dictator to return.

Zelaya was apparently trying to circumvent the Constitution of Honduras and remain in power beyond his elected term. To me, that's not democratic while the Supreme Court of any country ordering its military to remove a president who was trying to circumvent its Constitution is. The people of Venezuela may come to wish its Supreme Court had done the same.

Barak Hussein Obama, who has said, "Tthe Constitution of the United States is flawed," will use every opportunity to load the US Supreme Court with justices that will allow him to turn the United States into a social democrat Marxist dictatorship.

In an interview with WBZ in Boston he said, "We can no longer rely solely on the military for our security. We need a civilian security force that is as powerful, as well armed, and as well funded as the military."
Now, why in the world does Barak Hussein Obama think the US needs something similar to Adolph Hitler's brown shirts?

Outcry, Swiftcreek and many of you have said the same thing as I in past days and yet I still keep hearing the same thing not just from the idiots ruining - I mean running the country, but the media. How in the hell can they even begin to call this a crisis?! No one's died that I've heard and the streets are peaceful. For what it's worth it may be time to up the game and start talking to freinds and nieghbors this 4th and start sending emails to senators, congressmen and what ever editoral column that will listen. The OAS was founded to fight Communism & now wants to return one to office. I am distusted by the fact that B. Hussein Obama has chosen
to support a person who wants to be a dictator. I fear that if he gets re-elected in 2012 (God forbid) he will try to do the same thing here.

The president was best friends with Chavez and was going to eliminate term limits like Hugo did in Venezuela. The people of Honduras stood strong for true Democracy and ousted the tyrant! We should watch and learn, and remember our roots as Americans and our own revolutionary heritage! We need to support the Hondurans and let our reps in Washington know that we do not want anything to do with the OAS , the UN , or any of these other Socialist organizations.

How sad that a country is making the right move toward democracy and they get treated like this by the OAS and Obama. They should be honoring this country and using them as an example to other countries to show that they stand behind the constitution and freedom loving people anywhere. What a mockery they both make of democracy to the world...Shame on them!

If Zelaya is returned to Honduras and he is given due process in broad daylight-and then relieved of his cargo AND his citizenship according to the constitution it will give the interim government a more legitimate appearance. Few doubt the illegality of Zelaya's actions( well I did until I read the bizarre laws concerning presidential terms in the Honduran constitution) but the covert way in which the congress and supreme court arrested and deported him and later announced what had happened tarnish the image of the interim government.
While Zelaya violated his constitution we do not want to encourage military coups in other that region or anywhere.

Rueters is nothing but a great big communist a__ kisser. The government of Honduras was not overthrown in a coup. The government of Honduras was preserved by getting rid of a President who was trying to overthrow the government by not stepping down as required by their constitution after 1 term in office.

The last time the OAS was heard from they were calling for the inclusion of Cube in the organization. All members of the organization need to have a democratic government to be admitted, Cuba does not qualify. The leaders of most of the countries in the OAS are leftist tin pot despots including Obama. They need to concentrate on correcting the ills of their own countries and not worry about Honduras.
