This story about this poor individual is very sad. For those who laughed and cheered him on it is a burdon on YOUR soul. It just goes to show you how ridiculas some online viewers are.My heart goes out to his family. What a tragic loss.

Having been a teenager suffering from depression myself (I have since been diagnosed with bipolar disorder as an adult), this story is particularly heartbreaking. I lost my grandmother to suicide when I was a child, and there is absolutely no excuse for anyone encouraging this young man to take his life when this was an obvious cry for help. Whether he threatened suicide before is also beside the point. God help those who laughed at this man and ridiculed him during his last hours on this earth. Someday, they will need all the help they can get.

when our brthers and sisters are going through things like this, i think it calls for a movement of youth to prevent it. this saddens my heart, the whole situation. its not surprising no one called the police, i guess the bystander effect is enhanced online where its hard to take some one seriously. i know if those people were by his side and felt how serious he was, they would have stopped him. i'll say a prayer for his family, and others too.

The simple fact is most people dont care about anyone outside there little world, the sad fact is some would have taunted him to go through with it,even if they knew he was serios, this is a sick twisted world,i myself liked it when it was yahpp chat, but now everyone wants to write down there every thought and post it on some website, those who taunted him are sick and must have issies,as said its a sick world, instead of helping eachother we find new ways to hurt eachother!

HOW CAN YOU a******S SIT AND WATCH SOMEONE HURT THEMSELVES AND NOT TRY AND DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU KNOW THAT THIS PERSON HAS TRIED IT BEFORE AND SOME OF YOU JUST SIT THERE AND LAUGH AND MAKE JOKES ABOUT IT. "SURE ISNT FUNNY NOW IS IT" NOW YOU ALL CAN SIT AND DEAL WITH WHAT HAS HAPPEN AND THE FACT THAT YOU DID NOTHING
YOU SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED OF YOUR SELVES KNOWING THAT YOU COULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING AND DID NOT DO A DAMED THING. MY HEART GOES OUT TO HIS FAMILY

This incident is exactly like the movie "Untraceable" only with suicide. I always thought it was ridiculous that people would just watch and leave inappropriate comments like lol and omg but I thought they did that because it was a movie. I never thought this would actually happen in real life, I thought people were more responsible and caring than that.

To all of you who encouraged him, or thought it was funny............you are complete LOSERS! Someones life is not "online entertainment"! Even if you weren't sure if he was serious or not. And how can everyone watching wait so long before doing anything? Next time (hopefully there won't be one) act!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's pretty sad that out children and teenagers of today is so small, self center and lack of morals and respect for themselves. To know that parents raised children like this to take no action when someone swallow a bottle of pills. Any one who have common knowledge that pills takes 30 to 50 mins. to digest in your system, plenty of time to call police. It's just a shame that their parents has to live that their own flesh and blood watched this and did nothing but laugh, encourage the poor boy and have no morals. I feel for the parents of theses teenagers and MAY GOD FORGIVE THEM FOR NOT HELPING ONE OF HIS CHILDREN IN NEED.

He committed suicide. There were a lot of tacky sensatonalists watching but his death is no one's responsibility but his own. Leave the viewers and the web site viewers alone. It is his family that should feel shame, IF anyone should.

THIS TELLS OF THE REALITY OF MENTAL ILLNESS AND THE STUPIDITY OF OTHERS

that is truly sad and unfortunate. and while I am disgusted that people would egg this act on, I also feel most of them did not believe that this was truly occurring. Think of all the things we've grown up now to see, made to believe, and its hard to determine the lines of reality in that way. I do want to say the 'candy junkie' reference, and the ecstasy in his name, tells a story and a warning. Ecstasy is commonly called 'candy' and it is known to destroy the seratonin in the human body. Someone who really does dabble with Ecstasy is very likely to lose all good feeling and emotion, through chemical and hormonal imbalance.

I believe ancient Greeks would commit suicide, not always alone, but surrounded by those they held dear. In doing so, they would share both the person's life and his death. It was not a spectacle providing an evening's entertainment for anyone with nothing better to do. We are living in a time where there are more ways to communicate with each other than ever before, yet we actually really communicate less and less. Simon and Garfunkle wrote of this world in their song, "Sounds of Silence". People talking without speaking; people hearing without listening is part of the song that comes to mind. I have heard famiily and friends, and sadly professionals, say, "We thought there was something wrong, but we didn't want to ask. We thought it might make he or she upset or mad." Upset or mad is better than dead, and at the very least, you would let someone know you cared enough to make them upset.

This country has passed laws making it OK to kill healthy unborn children. The majority of the people voted for a president who shares this belief. Perhaps a law can be passed to kill the mentally ill. This would result in a tremendous savings to the healthcare system, social security, and supporting families. They contribute so little and cost so much.

That is so horrible. I am so sorry for his family. As for whether the site can be liable or not, who cares? It won't bring him back. Now if they could come up for a way to stop this, it would be great. I'm so sorry he was not on the right medication and/or dosage. I was diagnosed with "major depression" four years ago, but have been suffering from it for nine years. Luckily mine is under control and major depression is not as severe as bipolar disorder. Again, my condolences to his family.

Suicide is a tragic end to individuals that are hurting deeply. My prayers go out to this young man, and the family. Unfortunatly we have come to live in a very disposable world and life is meaningless. Please pray for this family and others who may have similar pain. We need to look into our souls and get back to the meaning of Life.

jackready, all I can say is that you reap what you sow. If you sow no comapassion, you get none. Just remember you, your family and love ones are still living, but you must leave this good earth one day. Apparently you haven't lost a love one, well anyway it hurts, I don't care how or when they leave here. I hope when you feel the pain, you will remember how insensitive you were about this young man's death, and the pain his family must be going through right now. I promise you than you will understand.

It is disturbing that people did not take him more seriously. All threats of suicide should be taken seriously, because people who are willing to threaten such behavior are obviously hurting and are trying to reach out for help. I would have hoped that the police had been called much sooner.

Suicide
planned. Can you give me a reason to live? (Milwaukee)

Could I be more blunt? It is very true though. In the past year I've lost virtually everything in my life. The only thing that keeps me hanging on for now is the impending holidays. I want to wait until after the holiday season, so as to not have anyone in my life associate Christmas with my passing.

I'm in my mid-30's, a college graduate and a father of two. My ex has shared custody with me. My ex has driven me to this point.

Pathetic, huh?

I'm not mentally ill. I'm quite lucid. I'm just tired of it all. If you want to try and light a spark to a guy with baggage, then feel free to Email me.

Take care.

This is just so immensely sad. I can't even put into words my shock and utter disappointment in the human race. This story is just an exemplification of everything wrong with our current, Western society. Selfishness, our "everything is a joke" nonchalant attitude, insecurity, immaturity....
My regards go out to his family. I could only imagine how I would feel if this was someone I loved.

Whoa, Nice G., REALLY hope that one doesn't end the same way - That's horrible. I hope many of us will try --You're so right, NEVER DISMISS a cry for help,
a threat of suicide --- Just because someone's said they would do so before obviously means they just might be working up to it

and sometimes all it takes is someone taking the time to tell them NOT to do it. For their family members and for themselves.

Deepest sympathies for this young man's family, may he be at peace.
And yes I could personally kill every idiot who egged him on.
Hope again this works out so very DIFFERENTLY in Milwaukee!!
