Gay rights advocates march on DC, divided on Obama (AP)

This is a personal choice. Homosexuals and lesibans are not religions nor a race of people. It is a sexual preference and it is not the norm. No, I don't encourage people to be mistreated and I would not allow it. However, I don't want to hear about their sex life and I don't want to vote anything in that will make teachers or children to learn about it. It is a family issue and counselors can help discuss it. If they want their companions to inherit their IRA's, bank accounts, or property---they should leave a will and make each other a beneficiary like everyone else does. As far a politics goes, there are as many Republicans that are Homosexual or lesiban as there are Demorcrats. The Republicians just keep it private, as should the Demorcrats. Family tradition should be promoted by both parties. They, all, should read the BIBLE.

Good luck and I wish the best for the gay community and their endeavors to gain all of their rights as US citizens.

I still don't know it being gay is right or wrong in the eyes of God, but I don't question God. But may the God I believe in protect you and bless each an everyone one of you and your families.

You do not garner civil rights from sex. This is something Obama as a constitutional professor already knows.

Even the repeal of the Don't Ask Don't Tell policy doe NOT do anything for gay people. You can not "express" you sexuality or even your poltical views publically while in the military. It's a code that ALL service people live by not just homosexuals.
Gays have enough to deal with being in a high risk group for deadly STD's to be used like this by "activists" and politicians.

If Obama somehow allows gays to be openly gay in the military then the straight military needs to have separate showers, rooms, units, squads etc. Who wants a horny homo oogling us in the shower or when we are undressing?
