Of course she faces a friendly jury. Its a jury of her peers---lying corrupt bureaucrats who have their own agenda---filling their pockets as quickly as possible with taxpayer money.while futhering the agenda of their fellow thieves.

Sotomayor is a RACIST...and 60% of her decisions have been overturned by higher courts! This it to be our newest Supreme Court justices? Probably because the democrats will cram-down this and other unpopular choices like their healthcare bill and the tax and trade policies. We used to have checks and balances, but now we have a very destructive one-sided government seeking totalitarianism...complete control over everything you and I do. I'm not a huge fan of Sotomayer. I'm not a huge fan of lifetime terms. But as historical nomination battles go, this one will be a cakewalk. The republicans know they need to put on a *little* show but they also know that any party who resists her will wind up on the losing end of the hispanic vote.

It seems to be a news media gospel that if Republicans vote against any minority candidate for supreme court that it is racist. When Democrats attacked and voted against the first hispanic supreme court nominee proposed President Bush and against Clarence Thomas (who is black), neither was publicized as being racist.
This is just another example of attempted media trying to spin the facts.
Sotomayor should be held accountable for her racist and sexist remarks and shoddy judicial past.

I would like to have them put somebody on the bench that has some intellenge, and doesn't just vote because everybody else is or that someone is tell the person how to vote. the supreme court has put a few thing into motion that should not have been done, because they were not upholding the constitution.

What I AM saying is I do not agree with 100% of his decisions. This is in the 10% that I think is not his best move. BUT I think he is doing it because HE feels she is the best choice. He's not buying votes. He doesn't need to. He needs to do a good job and that's what will get him elected.
I cannot predict the future and neither can anyone on this board. I will give the man time, and if he sucks as prez, I'll be calling him out for it and voting for someone else next time. That's how it works. So far, he's doing a much better job than the last dude.

FACT: My nephew filed a reverse descimination case against the FAA in NY (bypass promotion-he's white). His case was heard by Satomayor at NY appeals court.
Normal decision time for her appeals is 3-4 months. His decision was returned in just -4- days ---- "DENIED".
The black individual that had a lower test score and less experience and seniority was in fact promoted.
