planned launch of the space shuttle Endeavour is a familiar problem for NASA's
shuttle fleet. » Full Story on Yahoo! News

I just hope all the safety measures are observed, that thing is like riding a bomb into space. God bless the astronauts and may their mission be completed safely. And yes I am jealous of them...;-)

No, really?!? Metal attracts lightning?? What do you think the thing was made of, PLASTIC? I'm all for the safety of the astronauts, but I'm really getting sick of these reporters treating us like freakin' idiots explaining why lighting is attracted to that area.
I've been to Cape Canaveral and even people who haven't (I think) are smart enough to know that the damn space craft is metal. Get with the program reporters and editors too...quit with the stupid treatment and give your readers more credit next time. Hence the sarcasm in this post.
