This is so sad. All murders are tragic, but taking the lives of good parents of so many children is senseless. It seems these two people would have lent a helping hand if the murderers had come to them and asked for help. So what if they were rich--why should they be punished for that .,especially as they shared their largesse with others--with love.
so sad. Even sadder that sadists can use this to spout their venom.

This is unreal. What I want to say I, can't. This is not about me, but my faith in mankind and in God is in question right now.

I know this is America and all, and the Constitution and Miranda and lawyers and all that stuff, but is a trial really necessary here? We have video of them entering, video of them leaving, and even tho they're not saying it, with cams in every room, we have video of the actual murder. We have them trying to hide the van. Can't we just kill them all once we have them in custody? Is there a really good reason why not? Look at those kids and read these articles...Is there really a good reason to spend all that money to put them on trial for a couple of years???

This is what our world has come too? I agree with Lake we have them on video save the taxpayers some money for once. These so called human beings are evil. I can't even imagine the fear for some of these special angels that are able to grasp what has happened to their parents that chose them to be there children. All of them know that something is not right, that the ones who loved them are gone. I get saddened more and more each day with the things that are happening in this world. Where is our empathy, compassion and love? I just don't understand it anymore. God have mercy on us.

great report but one error in cold blood occured in 1957 not 59. i was a friend of the survivors and my dad was their personnel tax attorney.
T C had the wrong date but conservative Kansans thought not correcting it was a stab at his being gay. I hate to see it referred to
as 59 just because T C was some sort writing icon...I was in church sunday the morning after the massacre and Beverly brushed my arm as she and her fiance were escorted out to be told of the incident. Check it out for yourself if you are skeptical.....Too bad the crybabies won't let the law enforcement hang the attackers in Florida.

Damn it. Here is another example of what can happen if you don't practice simple security and lock the doors to your house.

The same thing happened to a surgeon and his family in Connecticut. The front door to his home was unlocked. Two men walked in, beat the doctor severely, killed his wife, and then tied his two daughters in an upstairs bedroom and set the house on fire. The girls died of smoke inhalation.

Folks, lock your doors, lock your doors, lock your doors...

I am a foster parent and I know how difficult it is to find loving, caring parents who are willing and able to adopt the children with profound special needs, as the Billingses did. How tragic that such good people were killed in such a heinous manner...and the poor children, who have already suffered so much in their short lives, to lose such wonderful parents. Senseless. My thoughts and prayers go out to their family and friends during this difficult time.

i hope they get the max. They robbed loving children of a mom & dad.The insanity of this world with corrupt people- A eye for an eye is what they deserve. With all the children, why were there no dogs?. I would think they owned lots of dogs running around the property, especially if it was fenced in. There is no better deterrent- less murders and horror stories, if people would open up their hearts to dogs that are killed every day in the pounds. My idea of love is to share.-includes animals -my dogs were so protective of my home, they alerted me all the time to danger, when i saw their fur brissle, they knew someone was on the property-the best protection. IF ANYONE BROKE INTO MY HOME, MY DOGS WOULD HAVE DESTROYED THEM AS THEY SHOULD. Save the dogs from death, and they will save you. If they had several dogs, inside and outside, they would be alive today. Didn't they have an alarm system- should have been connected to the police dept too. so sad.

And the Drug Enforcement Agency wonders why, when they dress up like Ninjas and come charging in through all the doors and half the windows of a house (which may be occupied by sleeping Taxpayers because the address on the search warrant is wrong) anybody has the audacity to open fire on them.

This murder is the reason I support the death penalty.
It was made for ass h--les like these 3.
If they are found, and convicted beyond a shadow of a dought,
the should be executed within 48 hours. No years and years of some a****** lawyer trying to save these animals lives.

You libs, keep your mouth shut, these 3 deserve to be executed

I pray for the victims and the family, who now leave a bunch of obviously loved kids who need help. I also wish for slow, painful deaths for the scumbags who perpetrated this crime and if I can help execute them in any I way I gladly will.

Thank God this happened in Florida where the death penalty is enforced. Hope these murderers are executed immediately, without any bleeding hearts too get in the way. These 8 useless beings need to be sent directly to their maker and the only way to do that is by execution. Save the drama. Doesn't have to be public. Inject them, cremate, and flush. It's that simple.

This is what really pisses me off. Our f***** politicians know of this story and say absolutely NOTHING. These m*****Fuc**** know we have asked them again and again and again to get rid of these God damn f***** illegal f***** Mexicans.... BUT DO THEY LISTEN... f*** NO they don't listen.... I send letters almost daily now to my congressman Lois Capps and Senators Feinstein and Boxer..... IT's like talking to a f***** WALL..... How many more of these horror stories are we going to take?

These killers are the poster children for the death penalty. Our country has got to realize that people who can commit such violent crimes have no soul...there is no hope to rehab someone like this as their humanity has already died. They are taking up space and should exit this world...let us help them.

I do not care for the death penalty, but I think in this case it should be enforced. If the State of Florida does not execute these cold-harded murderers, then there is no justice. If they needed money that bad, go and rob a drug dealer, oh forgot, drug dealers will fight back, this innocent couple could not. Hope the guys in prison are ready for some fresh meat.

Somali pirates have been taking over entire ships hundreds of miles offshore for a few years now, but here in the U.S. the number of home invasions either has been rather low or unpublicized. Perhaps, with the economic downturn, we should prepare ourselves for some troubled waters right here in our own neighborhoods. Private homes are much more vulnerable than ships at sea. Especially with the current fiscal cutbacks thinning our already depleted police ranks, it may be time to increase organizing community self defense options. Thank goodness we have Second Amendment freedoms that other countries lack.

I pray for the strength of the children at this painful time. i just read in my bible a word that God is teaching and it seems to fit this situation.
"The Love of Money is the root of all evil" It is clear that money was the motivation for men to murder others. May Gods vengence take hold of the men responsible now.

Time to warm up the chair. These bastards need to go right away. Doesn't matter if the people were rich or not, they were human beings trying to help the less fortunate and now some trailor park trash has wiped them out. How sick is that?

Wake up wake up America and yes the sky is falling! These evil men who killed this husband and wife deserve the death penalty pure and simple, no rehab for them. Why must we all sit around feeling sick in the pit of our stomachs over stories like this but NEVER doing one thing to change the crime scene.
You might say well what can one person do. One person can influence another and another for good. Good in this case is the death penalty. Support those states (by writing/calling your congressmen, senators, governors, etc.) and thank them for it. Push for inforcement of the gun laws, have "crime watch" programs in your town. Do something, the sooner the better! Otherwise it may be in your own back yard. How terrible that would feel.
I have written my local representatives on numerous occassions.

Only in America.

This kind of thing very very rarely happens anywhere else in the civilized world.

Could be the 2nd Amendment and the proliferation of guns among the citizens.

160,000+ American citizens have been shot to death.... in America ....by other American citizens since Bush invaded Iraq.
Tens of thousands more wounded every year, many grievously requiring permanent medical care.
The medical costs are simply staggering.
The court costs and prison costs are staggering.
The human costs are immeasurable.

Just imagine the outrage if 160,000 soldiers had died in Iraq?

Not a word about this massive costly deadly war inside of America... from the NRA GOP or Supreme Court.

This information comes from the FBI and Justice Dept.
