Obama confident in recovery despite jobs report (AP)

AP - President Barack Obama said Thursday that he remains confident the economy will turn around in the short term and the nation will prosper in the long term despite another dose of bad unemployment news. » Full Story on Yahoo! News

If that cap & trade bill gets passed and Obama signs it, then millions more American jobs will be lost. Obama has been saying for months that economic turn around is right around the corner. It's not. With the government spending, all the job loss overseas, and if they pass this new bill, we're screwed and it's Obama's ilk that are screwing us.

Nice job, Yahoo. No one will notice that the first headline stated that Obama was disappointed that unemployment was still on the rise. That headline is subsequently, and immediately, replaced by a headline stating that he is confident the economy is on the mend. You must really think we're a bunch of morons!

Why would he feel confident? Poor planning or in the case of the stimulus package, No Planning, does not get rewarded with positive results. Our only reward is going to be double digit inflation to go along with our double-digit unemployment.

Remember we had to pass the Stimulus Package "right away" or more jobs would be lost. Can't blame Bush anymore. WHERE ARE ALL THOSE STIMULUS JOBS, MR. HUSSEIN OBAMA???? How's that Obama thing working for everyone now??

Is him saying it took years to create this economic mess another way to say it is all Bush's fault? What he's trying to say is don't blame me I didn't do it. How about all them Dems in the majority since 2006 saying lets make everybody happy and give everyone a home. And voting against any warning that came their way. I'm sick of this spend crazy despicable government

Obama's policies are directly responsible for exacerbating the economic downtown. Cap and trade, healthcare "reform", higher taxes, greater regulation, anti-free trade, and obesience to the unions don't add up to economic recovery. They only thing that will flourish in Obama's world is government - for a while. And then like Lady Thatcher so apply stated "socialism works until you run out of other people's money."

Barry. Just shut up. Do yourself and the rest of us a favor, and don't feel compelled to comment on everything. You're screwing things up enough, don't need to keep reminding us how impotent you are when it comes to solutions.

Bush or Obama, does it really matter. Just another politician lining his pockets, helping his friends and not giving a damn about us regular folk.
If he did he would get our frigin money back from those comapnies he and Bush bailed out and then cut taxes or guarantee a 2% mortgage rate. That would put money right into the hands of those who could stimulate spending. But no, give it ro the lenders that will not lend unless your score is perfect. VOTE them out. If we put a single politician back in that is there now on the next election then we are stupid and deserve to be abused.

I am really glad he is "confident". No one else seems to be. The out of work are not confident, the consumers are not confident, hiring managers are not confident. Watch what chairman BHO is doing, don't listen to what he says. SOCIALISM IS STATE SLAVERY. THE BILL FOR SOCIALISM IS ALWAYS HANDED TO THE WORKING MIDDLE CLASS OF A CIVILIZATION. THE COST IS LIBERTY AND FREEDOM.

READ THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE THIS 4TH OF JULY.

It's 9.5% right now if because of the Obama Admin. With all of the spending and policies of Obama and the socialist society that he is building, business is not confident. The market will rebound not because of Obama but because of natural market adjustment. It could have been faster if business is confident. Business will be more confident if we are lowering the taxes of all including business, if we are not talking about something like this CAP and TRADE which is simply a Carbon tax. If government is not trying to control everything. Our country will rebound after 2010.. After we remove this Democratic Congress which most of this problems started from.

Is this hope and change that he promised? Who knows? He has a hard time telling the truth and will say whatever it takes to get a vote. But this is the change we're getting and what are we getting from Prez HO??? Screwed!!

Things will turn around when he leaves office. Then we'll salvage what is left of the USA.

In the meantime, I'm buying guns and ammo. The revolution is coming. And it can't come soon enought to please me. Minutemen rule!
