We cannot judge Muslims as a whole just because of what one group has done. I have a few friends that are Muslim, and they are wonderful people.

OF ALL OF THE idiots who suffer from Islamophobia I swear to god they are idiots. Go educate yourself. This man deserves more than a mere 240,000 dollars. If it had been anybody else they probably would have gotten twice this amount.

Ignorance is running abound and its not right. People educate yourself before you assume every person who has an Arabic T-shirt a terrorist. Screw those ignorant people comfort. Perhaps they should leave if there so biased.

Idiots!

Peace-Salam-Paz--means the same thing....in different languages.

This is stupid, and whoever awarded this man $240,000 is an idiot. Airline are a business run by people. If they don't want the guy wearing a certain shirt, whatever the shirt may display, they should have that right. You want to ride on their plane, do what they tell you and shut the hell up. On a side note - I wonder if I try to board a plane wearing a shirt with a naked woman on it and they make me cover it up... could I get some money???

Give me a brake. I agree 100% with JetBlue's reaction to the shirt. Then we reward this possible terrorist with this cash settlement. idiots! I am flying with JetBlue on my next trip because i know thier planes are safe. Does anyone have the name of the lawyer that helped this guy?

Nobody has the right to tell anyone what to wear. This is f***ing America, and if someone is stupid enough to tell a person they can not wear a T-Shirt with Arabic writing on it then they deserve to get sued.

Anyone who thinks this was an OK thing to do doens't cheerish freedom, nor do they even begin to have a clue of the definition of freedom is.

Dacid C above me is not an Ameircan, because Americans cherish freedom of speech... especially one that is non-violent in nature

Gee- too bad there's discrimination. If Muslim leaders would come forward and outright denounce the 9/11 attacks, perhaps there would be less discrimination. Maybe not. Enough with the PC look at things. We no longer live in a world where individual freedoms trump the safety of the masses.

Don't judge Muslims, I agree, but don't wear a shirt on an American plane that says, "we will not be silent." That, in itself, could be taken as a threat.

He didn't deserve the $240,000 that was a stupid move.

And about the family, if they're overheard making remarks that could but anyone's safety at risk - whether they are muslim or not - should be removed.

Its funny, if you wore something that scared or frightened other cultures or found it demeaning to them or threatening, not a problem but the muslim arabic nation is now the people getting picked on. Lets see if they could maybe use a little better judgemnet on attire when boarding a plane, after all 9/11 is not to far back for us to remember. I'm sure the ACLU does some good but I can't remember the last thing this democratic liberally funded organization did but waste our tax paying money!

I agree, tell him to wear a T-Shirt that says I'm an American, enjoying the freedom of America and I thank Allah for the priviledge of being able to live here.

What was he thinking, or trying to stir up, to wear this particular shirt to fly? Is it profiling or responsible actions when Arabs are "targeted" in these cases? Hows about a little concern for the rest of the folks. Use your common sense and leave the shirts with Arabic slogans at home. The judge should have required that he have to donate the money toward sensitivity training. Enough.

I would like to find out who is the judge that allowed this compensation to be awarded. At least send an email to voice my displeasure.

If he was looking to do any harm do you think he would advertise it no he would blend in with the other passengers just like 911 passengers on the planes

What has become of this country. We are no longer free to be Americans. We have to consider other countries and their feelings. What would have happened if we had worn something in their country that was an insult to them? I am sick of it. I work in a hospital and I have to cater to these people from other countries with their demands of supplies for their newborns to last them a couple of years while they are on Medicaid,my tax dollars, and stating how much they hate Americans. This country is going to hell and this is yet another example.

Lets read all the dumb ass comments here. EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO FREEDOM OF SPEECH...

If people were upset they could choose not to fly... That person deserved every penny... Nobody shuold be told what T-Short to wear... Not in America, otherwise our entire Bill of Roghts and Constitution is a complete sham... and so many of you are obviously OK with ripping up those documents... Hell I bet many of you were dumb enough to vote for Bush at least once

It is unbelievable how ignorant some people are and how fragile the freedom we take for granted are. My brother was a 9/11 survivor and on that day when the planes flew into the World Trade Center Towers, my brother whose office was in Tower 1, was among the thousands that ran for their lives. A Muslim taxi driver saw the crowd running away from the burning buildings and opened up his taxi for free to my brother. He then drove them both to safety. He got them out of the area before the buildings collapsed. He saved both their lives. Wake Up America and defend the freedoms that this country was built on. Reject hate and discrimination.

If the people (from other countries) feel profiled, why don't they join together and take a Private jet, they come from an area with All the Money, or a Greyhound Bus. When in Egypt, do like the Egyptians, when in the U.S. of A., do like Americans, dress so that people can tell that your not hiding a gun a knife. Quit being ignorant and just blend in. Talk our language and walk our walk, Or Just Stay Home, we have enough Problems with the banking, autos and most families.

This guy was obviously trying to cause trouble. Now our court system has rewarded his taunting, provoking behavior. Thanks to JetBlue for trying to keep our airways safe.

If this guy is such an AMERICAN, than maybe he should have a little more respect for the people who died on 9-11, and not wear something like that to an airport, or at least not sue for being asked to cover it up. I mean a lot of people were hurt by that terrorist attack. What is so offensive about people not wanting to have to go through something like that again?

Wow, maybe i should have sued the San Francisco airport a few years ago for searching my person to the extent that I was getting embarrassed to be the center of attention although I had no suspicious clothing on and neither was I carrying illegal items.

Absolutely justified to tell this idiot to remove his shirt or hid the logo. What is he trying to do, spit in our faces? This country has been changed by 9/11 and anything perceived as a threat to America's safety should justify defensive actions. Discrimination has to be tolerated to a certain extent for the purpose of safety.

I can't believe the man was given any money. We need to be careful who we trust after 9/11. If foreignors want to live in this country they need to show the US a little respect or they should go to their country where they belong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
