This is a joke! Marital rape will continue and guess what there will be no punishments because those who run the courts and government in this country are all men. What are we thinking in Afghanistan? They pass laws which only impacts a minority of their citizens. This means they have no problem with treating people differently based on who they are, their religion, etc.
In what manner did/does Bush/Obama think anything good can come of our adventure in Afghanistan. Do they not remember the Soviet effort? I think we need a huge wall around the middle east. When THEY sort it all out, we can consider letting them join with the rest of the world.

As unpleasant as that law would be, I don't see why they should give in to international pressure to change such things. If their people are against these laws, they will change them. If they can't, they will have their own civil war which will decide for them. Another case of myofb, USA.
