I can't tell you how many times Led Zep was played on camping 'trips' in the North Georgia mountains growing up in the 70's..

There is no "front man". It is the whole Led Zeppelin band that we adore - not John Bohnam, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant or John Paul Jones individually.

I wonder what Plant would have said if he knew in 1978 that this honor was coming to him. It's funny if you think about it because he's been put into a league of people who would probably abhor the lifestyle he lived for so long. I'm not knocking Plant at all. It's just funny, that's all. Congrats, Robert! Enjoy the honor.

Hurray! Led Zeppelin was one of the few acts I loved (since I generally hate pop music). Love the tongue in cheek attitude too...so out of place in the "center of the universe" attitude of the (barely) average pop artists that came later.
