What needs to happen is an emergency constitutional change so president elect can come to term before January - OMG!- why are we waiting? days of horse and train travel are bygone and so will our economy go if we don't get this man into office before January!
Urgency can be tyranny. Obama is doing it right. I would NEVER let Barney Frank railroad me into anything, because Barney gets richer and others get left holding the bag (Re: Fannie Mae etc.).That fox needs to be exiled from the chicken coop. And I hope Obama is considering how to do just that, as if he doesn't have enough to do. I didn't vote for Obama, but I think is he proceeding wisely and graciously, and I appreciate that.
Unfortunately Barney Frank can't criticize anyone when he slept with a male executive of Fannie Mae before it crumbled. There were plenty of warnings that Fannie Mae was in trouble 2-3 years ago... Perhaps if Frank paid more attention to what was happening to fannie mae some of this mess would have not happened.
Barney learned to be more assertive when he had to slip it to young guys in leather bars.... he knows assertive alright....
You cannot expect President Elect Obama to walk on water. He is not God. We have a Constitution, rules and procedures that Mr. Obama is well aware of and has to be followed. If you want Him to take over then you must get the rules changed. Obama did not get where he is by running around like a chicken with his head cut off. He is respectful and knowledgable of what to do and what not to do. He is getting his team together and they will do an outstanding job for the next (hopefully) 8 years. I am personally proud of how he ran his campaign and how he is strategically beginning "smart governing." It's not like he can't talk to people behind the scene. Take your time Obama!
Obama can't do anything right now, it is Dubya and Paulson that can, but they won't. The corporate media should be hounding them. Dubya becomes the biggest socialist president by bailing out greedy, dishonest bankers and investment firms, but when it comes to saving auto workers jobs, he isn't a socialist anymore. Dubya is so good at doing the wrong thing at the wrong time. It is hard to believe how good he is at screwing things up.
I don't blame Obama he is not president until Jan. 20. Why should he get in involve now for something that go back starting with Nixon,Reagan,Bush senior, and his son. He already has a plan and he already said it will take time and patient.It will not be solve overnight. I have faith in President elect and the key word is elect Barack Obama.
President-ELECT Obama is a consitutional lawyer and knows he doesn't wield any power until he is lawfully sworn in January 20th, 2009 people. Barney Frank and Christopher Dodd are directly responsible for the calamatous events they are now supposedly trying to correct. They are wrong to say Mr. Obama should step in. They are trying to cover their own rear-ends, well Mr. Dodd is, Mr. Frank.... who knows.
I am very proud of Obama and his chioce to wait. If anyone was in office at this time, they should/would appreciate his hesitation and respect to wait. And if the public was tired of waiting, that should have happened four years ago.

It is unfortunate to know that individuals like Barney Frank and Christopher Dodd are representatives in leadership. The point is Obama is not even in office and these so called "leaders" of civilized society are acting like toddlers in a playground fighting over who gets to get on the swing next. The man is setting up his transition team and has many other things to prepare for during this economic crisis. They need to go somewhere, grow up and let the mature folks handle the business at hand.
The Republicans are trying to blame Freddie and Fannie for the economic collapse, but the Repubs are to balme because they controlled and were supposed to regulate Freddie and Fannie and they didn't. Repubs have controlled Congress 12 out the last 14 years, they are the ones that have caused the biggest economic collapse since the Great Depression. It is Dubya's bad decisions, and lack of regulating banks and investment firms that have caused the biggest economic collapse since the Great Depression. The damage Dubya has done is immense. He has been, by far, the worst president this country has ever had, and because of it people have to pay with their lives, and now economically. You have to know the cause of a problem to solve it, and the more Republicans you hold accountable, the sooner we can start solving Americas problems.
Reality is he have came into a big mess but he will get his chance. We as the people have to give him a chance and let him get his feet in the door first. Ask Bush about the economy Barack is not in office until Jan 20. Think about it we gave everyone one else and chance now work with him .

I think Frank is an idiot. And stop giving Bush so much credit about how much harm he has done. While I don't like Obama; he is doing the right thing by waiting his turn to try to run the country. Don't forget the soiling that Clinton left for Bush. Seriously both parties need a cleansing!
I think is is very poor protocal for Obama to but into someone else's presidency. The President did not cause these problems and Obama better fix it when he get's in or he will have a lot of egg on his face so his own people ought to give him the time to get boned up on things, prepared and ready to fix things or they are going to look like idiots, so far the guy is backing down already and trying to put the work on the little guys anyway.

I think that democratics are acting like fools, when they asked that Obama start his plan now. No president elect, has ever in the history of the United States, started his work before he became president. Obama is right, wait even though we all know we need him now, until he has the position of President and help him do what needs to be done. We have handed this man a big problem, and we are demanding that he fix some thing that has had 8 years to grow into the largest problem the United States people have ever had to face. We the people should have put a stop to this long before Obama ever ran for election. But, we didn't. Now, we have put our troubles upon one man and say "get it done now."
