Disney World monorail crash

One train operator was killed in the collision in the Magic Kingdom section of the park. » Full Story on Y! Featured

It figures the happiest place in the world wouldn't want the details known about what happened. Denial is always a good way to avoid interruptions of happy.

Because of this, I don't know if I should leave condolences or say the operator deserved it. Should I give condolences because the operator deserved it? I don't know! I don't have enough information!

Goofy was probably operating the other train, or an illegal Mexican - sane difference.

Disney has a great record when it comes to safety. I feel so bad for the conductors family. They have a sad road to travel. The monorail runs at all hours because it connects with the Disney hotels as well as the the Disney sites.

Libs claim this was Bush's fault. Obummer apologises to Mickey Mouse for the American people's desire to ride a train rather than walk, Pelosi to propose a new tax on all slushies sold in the park to pay for a new facelift (this time she is going to need a crane).

Somebody has lost thier life due to an accident, it's amazing to me how some people make a joke of a situation that is obiviously heart breaking to a family of the victim.

I think all but two or three of these comments here are totally out of line. I wish people would restrain themselves.

I think it was driving while under the influence of alcohol or some substance. My condolences to those who were hurt.

You know, this is the first time I can remember that the Disney Monorail system had an accident. I feel sorrow for the deceased. Let's not make this political. This system was built long before Bush, Obama, Pelosi, or any other politician. Say nothing but good of the dead.

So, so sad. At least no children were hurt...now THAT would be bad; a kid dying at Disney World? That'd be the end of the Disney franchise.

You would think it would be so safe," said 20-year-old Lauren Shoebottom, who was visiting the park from London. "You don't expect it on holiday, do you?"

What a Moron - I guess it's OK to have a crash on any day other that a holiday?

Why in the world would the park be operating more than one train at that un-godly hour? In fact why would they operate ANY thing at 2 A.M.????????

In todays world of taking things to the extreme, and having to make sure everything is "up to code" and "politically correct".The nit picking is WAY out of control. But nonetheless,IT IS HERE. That's why things of this nature are totally unnacceptable. There is NO excuse whatsoever for ANY OF THIS TO TAKE PLACE.Negligence is a costly evil.I hope they have to pay dearly for this flagrant lack of concern for safety. My prayers to the families.

yea this company hides a lot they really do not want the public to know what happens behind the scene they should use the local police not the idiot security guards they hire i worked at disneyland for 2 years and this is very typical check out evildisny.com and it will give you some insight about how crazy it is

Obviously this was NOT the drivers fault. This was the fault of maybe the operator at the controls...or quite possibly a fault in the system that hadn't been detected until the accident occurred. I know for a fact that every ride at Disney is inspected throughout each day, and every night when the parks close down.

My condolences to my fellow CAST members' family.
