Here's some news for you. 17 billion in direct stimulus money to coiunties. $69 per person in Obama supporting counties vice $34per person in McCain supporting counties. Your stimulus money, not hardly at work, but twice the payoff to Obama counties.

So the Republicans are upset because the stimulus isn't working after 4 months. Were they upset when the war in Iraq was not going well after the first 4 months? I did'nt think so. If there is another stimulus, don't channel it through Wall Street. Set up the regional Federal Reserve Banks to work with local banks and get the housing sector going again.

Is this before or after you singlehandedly save africa at the expense of America? You spend too much time jetsetting and kissing azz. You are rapidly becoming an embarassment. We can see the economy has stopped its downward spiral; we can see positive gains in foreign relations even with Venezuela, China, Russia and our boys are out of Iraq as promised. We identified the crooks on Wall Street, we kept the banks going, we fixed GM, we put a stop to tax havens, we're reducing medical expenses, and creating an alternative to being dependent on Big Oil in the Mid-East ... What am I leaving out? Speak up ... The Job-creating portion of the Stimulus was designed to kick in 6-8 mos. after the fact. We still having some cleaning to do - if Obama tells me jobs are scheduled for the latter part of the year I believe him because he’s kept his word & been honest with US from the beginning. US has much to be grateful for lately and there is much work yet to accomplish ... Have Faith!

Let's see.. If we had taken the 787 billion and had given every legal person in the US (taxpayers and not) $2,000, about $600 Billion, we would not be talking about a lingering recession. Well we said it was never going to work. The "stimulus" isn't being spent on anything which creates jobs , like infrastructure. It is saving the jobs of teachers ( who maybe should be cutting down on) policemen ( what do you think?) and other state government employees. How many of you think the size of state government can be reduced in your state and it would be beneficial to your local economy?

Even those democrats who continue to worship Obama have no faith in his economic policies. If they did they would be out spending money, buying green cars, investing in windmill, or painting the roof of their house white. These democrats are doing the same thing as the republicans. They are saving their money because they have no faith in an Obama controlled economy.

We are threatened every week with a new tax to pay for his past mistakes and give away programs. How will we ever pay for those plus his future mistakes?

When you force auto dealerships to close you add to unemployment.
When you force small businesses to pay for health insurance they will lay off workers.
When you set up government ran health insurance companies you force the closure of small insurance companies and add more government employees.

The question isn't wheter the stimulus will kick in or not. The question is whether Obama is going to follow Carter as a one and done.

This just goes to show how ignorant and inexperienced BHO is of the real world. Only 5% of the stimulus money has been spent because our representatives want the money for their own pet projects instead of the "Shovel Ready" projects it was meant for. If BHO was really a leader, he'd push to get the other 95% out instead of talking about it.

It's amazing how some want everything to work yesterday. We are now having what many called A REALITY CHECK from living a lie that American people have been living and believing for the past 12 yrs or so. To expect the Stimulus package or anything else to work in 4 or 5 months is completely ridiculous and frankly laughable.

the release of funds seems to be calculated to have the most effect in time for the elections of 2010 and then , do doubt, the biggest jolt will be timed for the primaries and election of 2012. Still, as a safeguard, the democrats wish to secure the votes of the Gay/Lesbian community, as well s the Hispanic community by keeping a fill 10-15 percent of the total population of Mexico in this country as 'Guest Workers' who are currently living here as illegal aliens. Meanwhile, American citizens who don't have a college or university degree will continue to have an unemployment rate that is twice the national average, around 20% for America's poor citizens on average but actually even deeper than that in some regions of the country.
