Iraq bombings kill 8 in capital, northern village (AP)

AP - A car bomb exploded in an alley Saturday in a village in northern Iraq, killing at least four people, wounding others and destroying eight homes, police said. Another six people died in bombings in Baghdad. » Full Story on Yahoo! News

If he wouldn't have shot it up, there would have been a bomb in the trunk, and then what would they have to say about it?

I hate to see anyone loose their life, but it is better that it is an Iraqi than someone from our military. It was a test to see if the US would still respond. The media will create a very different story out of this, but they have to live with their lies. At least our people were safe this time.

The suspected civilian disobeyed or ignored a lawful order, therefore he was lawfully shot dead. What's the problem?

What's the real story? They started firing at an innocent driver, who then accelerated out of panic, and so they shot him dead? That sort of thing has happened many times, which is why there's hostility towards US soldiers. Then they wonder why terrorists want to kill them.

You have no clue what your talking about, my son is in Iraq and has faced the same incidents many times, sure there's decreased violence in the country but in the last 2 months he's had 7 of his fellow soldiers get killed, three by a mentally handicaped child that the insurgents straped a bomb to and hit the button when the soldiers stopped to help him, don't see that pasted on the headlines do ya, my son was right behind them in a MRAP and was not hurt. If you wait it's to late, we've been there long enough ALL the citizens know what to do when approching a miltary vehicle, if they don't stop they will get shot, it's unfortunate for the inocents that get harmed but if you were there you would understand better I think, or if one of YOUR loved ones was there you would be less likely to criticize.

Let's bail on that festering shlthole of a country. To many good Americans have lost their lives for a bunch of lowlifes who don't deserve their freedom. Sadam kept them under control with religious seperation and violence. Thats all they want to know. Thats all they will know. It is taught in their schools. It has been going on for 5000 years, so what do you expect from them? Kill everyone of them or get the f@k out. I don't give a shlt about any muzzie, just Americans.

Now, a car bomb goes off. There's a coincidence for you. Drones will follow next, wiping out the entire village.

The Iraqis know damn well not to get too close to American convoys. The soldier did exactly what the rules of engagement states.

The old saying goes "I'd rather be tried by twelve than carried by six."

Not our probem anymore. The want US out? I don't want to know about their "11 here" and "14 there" anymore. It's time the sheeple of America focus on the corruption and tyrants messing up the finances and freedoms of THEIR country.

What the HELL is going on?

Over a year ago, the Sen. Majority Leader, Harry Reid declared that: "the war is lost." Having already lost the war why are we still there air raiding villages and killing women & children? The Democratic leadership has already declared defeat, let's just pack up and go home!

Let's all hand it to Bush/Cheney. These two EVILS were brilliant in fooling their worshippers about Iraq being a threat to the USA, WMD and Saddam Hussein's ties to Al Qaeda. What makes these two so called white americans so EVIL? Must be in the genes or is it the color..

The only REAL difference between Bush and Obama is that Pres. Bush knew how to WIN wars and Obama knows how to LOSE them... and then apologize for America!

We are at war people. Hindsight is 20/20 If we now have to worry that our soldiers will be prosecuted now for incidents like this is is time to pack up and go home.

They've only just begun....more bombs....deaths....colliding factions. Their inept security forces will lose control and then Iran will swoop in to work on their last nerves like a sadistic dentist. What a mess and good we've handed over the "keys". They can drive their own donkey carts over the cliff now.

Thank you Mr. Bush for getting us into this mess in the first place. He should have listened to his daddy about getting into that quagmire and Cheney should have remembered why they didn't follow Husein into Iraq the first time. Will President Obama get any further than other US presidents in the middle east using diplomacy? I sort of doubt it because I don't think the clergy in power want to deal and the militants/insurgents just want to kill everybody, even their own. But I do like Obama's diplomatic style. He surprised me and so far has a lot of the world's nations behind him; something Bush never had.

We are in a confict, like it or not, but for the poor soldiers it becomes a delicate choice--(do I fire or will I be prosecuted?) If a soldier feels that he/she is in Harms Way shoot. How many Vietnams do the politicians expect us to endure? Congress needs to stop sticking their collective heads in the ground and support the military they sent to fight.

Nobody has the guts, in the government controlled Press, that since Obama got elected there are more bombs, more suicide bombers and more American soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. This is ignored by the Press, but the relatives of the soldiers should make enough noise so that Obama will know that we are watching I had a son in the Air Force for 9 years and if he would've been killed under Obama, they would've heard me loud and clear. And this is not happening.
