If Justin Timberlake Gets The Role of Hal Jordan, Every Comic Book Fanboy On Earth Should Riot!

I, personally, would not like to see any of these people as the Green Lantern. Especially Justin Timberlake. He may be a talented actor but I just do not think he has enough experience to play such an iconic role. I heard buzz a few months ago that Anton Yelchin was also being considered for the role and I think that he would be a much better fit then any of these actors. They just don't fit the description of the Green Lantern like I feel Yelchin. But thats only my opinion. I'll still go see it no matter who is the star.

Of the three, I think I'd prefer the part to go to Bradley Cooper. I agree with the others and I can not see Justin Timberlake in the role and Ryan Reynolds has already snagged the role of Deadpool.

Timberlake would make a good choice............if they were casting for "The Green f** boy"

I can't believe any one of those guys are considered hot. They're just like cream puffs, except without the cream. And if timberlake is supposed to be bringing sexy back, the human race will be extinct in about 50 years. At least pick someone who looks like he's got a little testosterone going on!

Timberlake playing the Green Lantern would be a God awfull mistake. The Hollywood morons need to realize that their fan base (us comic book geeks) knows the material better than they do and would crap on a movie with Timberlake as the title character. Hell, most of us just hate the loser. Hollywood guys have a tendancy to destroy our favorite characters in their movies and casting that joke would kill it for us even befor it started shooting.

Timberlake should stick to singing and dancing. They should give it to Bradley Cooper because he's hot and can act.

what exec thought of these actors?!?! i have to admit, i'm a comic book geek to the core. got my 1st mag in 7th grade and i've never stop reading them. at 35, i still go to my local shop, but now i bring my kids. hal jordan is as iconic as the big 3 (superman, wonder woman and batman). the thing that made green lantern so cool is that the ring didn't make hal jordan a hero, he was already one and that's why he got the ring. when hal died, people rioted (not literally, but ya), dc broght him back. these 3 actors do not have the iconic status or stature to play this role. we need someone like brad pitt (not brad, but his status). heck, even orlando bloom would be a better lantern. or what about russel crowe, gerard butler or heck even patrick dempsey has a better chance at playing a iconic hal jordan. come on people, execs messed up superman by casting a wannabe and a crappy script, don't mess with hal. we want a jla movie soon. =)

The casting guys are reading these comments, stories like this are just to get an opinion about the different actors, they should pick an unknown for the part, like they did in the 70's with Superman, but they don't have the balls to risk that.

Thats the reason why I think Anton Yelchin would be great. He has been in big movies but not a big part. As far as I know he is still a unknown.

Go with Ryan Reynolds...he has proven his versatility many times including the "Blade Trinity" movie before X-Men. He has it all...looks, body & talent!! How many remember him from the old TV sitcom, "Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place". He took the lead then and still can!!

They turned the Green Lantern black in the animated series the Justice League because (probably) there was no culture diversity. And there is always Static Shock. I know he wasn't big but he was black and a super hero.

I say for green laturn they should have gotten samuel L jackson I can see him as John steuwart, and let me explain the whole black green lantern thing. For starters by green lantern there are over hundreds of green lanterns, Like Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner, and john Stuwart. Personally i pre per John Stuwart just because he is black but he is bad ass compared to the other two So all in all there are hundreds of green lanterns of multiple races

1) Chris Pine, In my mind he is Hal Jordan ,much like Chris Reeve is superman ,Chris Pine is the Green Lantern he's perfect
2) Josh Duhamel, at first I wasn't convinced until I saw him in Transformers he plays a soldier and it's not a big leap to test pilot Hal jordan
3) Sam Worthington ,I only saw him on the new Terminator movie but he does bring a very strong performance

The original human Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, is white. There are other Green Lanterns of different races, species and aliens. Hal was the most popular and he is the one most comic fans identify with.

john stewert is black, but hal jordan is white and he got the ring before john, plus hal is the best lantern of them all
